“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

No , no link between the forum and finding Madeleine - I was thinking more along the lines of the McConn and their media influence working its way through the system, trying to limit the amount of negative publicity / comments they’re receiving.
They must have realised that a large percentage of people no longer believe that Madeleine was abducted and so - if the PJ have proof of another explanation for her disappearance - they are on a damage limitation exercise in the interests of trying to either receive a fait trial or try to prove that they cannot ever have a fair trial.
If you get my drift.
I’ve not explained what I mean very well. But I know what I meant !

I had occasionally visited the mirror forums, but I always felt that while the anorak forum is kind of a carnival, which could be enjoyed, the mirror forum was by no doubt a madhouse. (That’s why I never wanted to post there.)
Incidently after visiting it this morning I decided to remove the link from my bookmarks, because - well if it’s only hatret and witch hunt, without any sign of self-mockery, it’s not fun any more. Obviously the administrators had just the same thought.

some months ago I remember reading that a fair share of the money was spent buying media space for adverts in newspapers and mags in portugal and spain. I do not know about this specific case, but as a general rule, one typical way of money laundering is to order and pay for a service, and then not use that service (cancel the service). There will be a percent refund. For example, if upon cancellation you receive 85% refund, then the service provider still gets 15%. If you secretly arrange that all of your orders will be cancelled, this will be welcomed as profitable to the service provider. Meanwhile, the user records the expenditure of 100%, but does not record the refund of 85%.

Who knows if the Mirror forum fell, or was pushed? I suspect that we won’t know the truth about some of these issues until long after the Madeleine case is consigned to the annals of criminal history.
Control of the media is key to Team McCann. The most recent public demonstration of this was Chief Detective Inspector Comical Clouseau’s recent press conference in which he ignored completely the ongoing criminal investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance and put some unknown persons face in the frame for the alleged crime(s). In order to ensure complete control of the message(s) being sent, he then declined to take questions from the assembled reporters.
Why are these people being allowed to exercise this level of control over the UK media?
