“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

Me neither, but then I wouldnt as I dont buy any newspapers, they are just a vehicle for poor writers being given a mouthpiece by biased editors - journalism doesnt live in newspaper offices!

To be honest, I am very suprised the Mirror forum survived so long. The mirror has been pro-McCann from the beginnning.
Its known to be a mixed up paper, used to be left wing for years but captalist ‘news’ papers struggle to be left wing in the UK since Thatchers years culling any anti-establishment activities!

Anti- Iraq war (still hanging on to its left wing vestiges!) it ‘created’ photos to prove its point and Peers was booted (I heard he had said that he’d never leave his children like the McCanns did?) .
Something probably triggered the closure of that thread - the McCann abduction story (Tanner story now ‘downgraded’ by Team McCann) going in to meltdown and having to generate ‘Harrison Man’.
Its funny how many posters here think its a total waste of time and irrelevant, yet they still post and we could be sued if libellous!

No one is drumming up support for other blogs. And it’s true that Anorak has been careful. But strange things can happen and we don’t really know why the Mirror forums have gone down (apart from what they say). I mean we don’t know the specific event/action/… that has provoked it.

Anyone reading this thread for the last hour can see for themselves that certain posters were trying to drum up support for other blogs; conducting the funeral obsequies of Anorak whilst it is undoubtedly live and kicking can be construed in no other way. Posters were commenting on ‘when’ Anorak goes down, not ‘if’.
Anyone with a genuine interest in supporting the blog would be asking what we could do to help, not announcing its demise.
And anyone reading the Mirror forum over the last few days would have noticed the truckloads of libellous comments, the libellous threads being pulled all the time, and the Mods inability to keep on top of hundreds of different threads…

Mirror forums…. word has it that it was becoming impossible to ‘moderate’. They were losing track and inappropriate posts were slipping through. That meant that the posts then got worse………. just the word on the street so to speak!

On a second thought, it always seemed to me that the forum had been spinned as to be kept obsessively focussed on the possible guilt of the McCs and the Tapas9. This would make perfect sense: The mainstream media apparently protecting the McCanns, the seemingly independent forums opposing this - thereby also concentrating solely on the McCanns.
In the last days however, the discussion seemed to get slightly out of control. ..
