“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

AWG has a great article on UK’s Libel Laws - worth very close reading. But what I really think is more appropriate and just in the UK libel laws, as compared to ours in the US - when charges are brought against the defendent (the one charged with libelling the plaintiff) in the UK they are guilty and have to prove they didn’t libel the plaintiff. We need stricter ones over here in that regards.

Then you just copy and paste in the text, and select from whichever foreign language to English!

What ‘physical items in evidence’? Thus far, according to all reports or one might also say rumours/leaks - the DNAs are not even definite matches. In fact, weren’t all samples collected just miscrosopic drops and not as reported leading one to believe much blood here and much blood there and large amounts of bodily fluid and hair in the car boot?

I was speculating about MF people going to 3arg.
I think MF thread was shut down because they couldn’t controll all the speculating about the things you mentioned [and the embalming etc]. And the speculating wouldn’t be a problem, as long as someone who was speculating, could prove s/he was right. So if they continue the speculating about those items at the 3arg. that forum could get into danger too [imo].
I think the MF is afraid there’s no proof of the things you mentioned, so they are afraid of being charged for libel. And that’s why they closed the thread.

Would someone here explain how libel laws are different in the UK from the USA?
From what I know, in the US, the individual is responsible for what he writes, here in the UK, the publication is also responsible.
