Do those shows take advertising? They do. What will the ad-breaks induce viewers to buy? What is the point of the interview? The McCanns cannot discuss the case.
Says the McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell: “We are not in the market for selling Kate and Gerry’s story to the highest bidder. And we are not impressed by big names. We talk to media from all over the world”
But money is important. The fighting fun is running low

It seemes to me that G & K had an abusive relationship, with G being very much in control, wanting to project the image of a perfect family, perfect wife, perfect home, perfect friends, perfect career etc etc etc.
Kate has always seemed to me to be anxious when around him, worried that something may upset him, in that classic abused woman type of way. (IMO)
Which may have lead directly to what happened to maddie - but that’s not what i’m talking about.
i heard it 3rd hand (you know rumour gossip etc ) that social services have decided that the twins should not be left alone with the parents, and if this is true it would explain why kate’s (uncle?) was staying with them. But even if that is not true, there have been many people around Rothley manor over the last 6 months.
This IMO, would mean that G could not use whatever controlling behaviours he had previousley used, because to people like this image is all important. That leaves K time and space to break free of this type of relationship, and G will move on and try and control something else (the media maybe?).
When K is strong enough - given enough time and space she may realise how she has been controlled and if she gets to be strong enough (it can take some women years) she will then come forward and confess what actually happened to maddie in PDL.
It is to this end that i am hoping that the grief counselling that they have been/are getting is on an individual basis - even though i can’t see G letting this happen.

re: the Dr’s relationship - ah now this is where it’s getting interesting isn’t it. Apparentley over 90% of couples who lose (though not in the same way as maddie) split up eventually. However I have a theory on the Dr’s McC.

In a word, Ludicrous.
But very often the police let or even encourage people go on TV and press conferences, and then just wait until they say something incriminating. There is no “caution” before a press conference, and the people involved are often too arrogant to believe they might need a lawyer to calm them down.
They always want to be seen to be helping, and in a world in which knowledge is power they want to show that they have more knowledge than anyone else.
Hence Clarrie dropping himself and the McCs in it the whole time, with his ex-cathedra statements about Cooperman and so on. He wants to show that he is in charge of the whole thing, and so will go further than his brief strictly allows.
Give him, and them, and the Tapa 7/9/10 more air time. More conferences, more TV interviews, let them go on Oprah, let them talk and talk and talk. One or more will eventually go off script.

am lucky tho, he doesnt really watch other teams, only when the “boys” are playing. He actually trolls through you tube to listen to the fans singing “walk on”, and i swear he has a tear in his eye!

wtf - lol, we’ve been to old trafford (pre season friendly vs AC milan) and the emirates (vs newcastle - carling cup) - (both games had tickets at £5 for the kids - bargain), and my daughter who is an avid chelsea supporter (ugh) had to sit through both and pretent that she was happy when the home team scored - imagine your hubbies looks from a (then) preteen
