Says the McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell: “We are not in the market for selling Kate and Gerry’s story to the highest bidder. And we are not impressed by big names. We talk to media from all over the world”

The unnerving ability to insert both feet into the mouth whilst speaking appears to have spread to John Corner, who’s quoted in the Times as saying:
‘Corner is donating any money he receives for “licensing rights” to the Madeleine fund. He said: “We need to sustain the cost of the search for Madeleine. All money I receive from the broadcast itself will go straight back into the fund.”

I’d say the reason they came out so quickly with the ‘IVF baby’ point was to show how much MM was wanted - that they would go thru’ the trauma and financial expense of IVF (ie. it’s about them).
Another very early point - from a family member - was ‘they are doctors, they care for other people!’ meaning ‘why should this terrible thing happen to such caring people?’. Once again, it’s all about the parents, not the child.

I have been reading that the mccanns might well suffer with alexithymia(spanish media)
Kate would suffer a secondary alexithymia which appears in people who are suffering severe shock/traumatic situation.They show no guilt either…..
Those afflicted people are said to show a complete lack of feeelings which they express through a frantic activity to the detriment of real pain……

‘The McCanns’ campaign team have since received more than 100 calls with “real information” about the man, and are hopeful of identifying him soon.’

re - clunk click / spanish breakdown - to me shows someone who is used to controlling herself - and not someone who is used to controlling others. can i point you in the direction of the return home press ‘conference’ when G almost looses it when declaring that they had nothing to do ‘ with the disappearance of our lovely daughter madeleine’.
Now this is behaviour that, as a mother (even one as young as yourself ) you should recognise - when your kids have been found out - did they / do they not do this??
