Does he have to speak with the McCanns detectives?

If and when the McCann are disatisfied with the proccedings within the Portuguese justice, they are entitled to seek recourse in higher instances. To date they have publicly expressed their discomfort with the fact that they were made official suspects (and so has Murat). But they have not pursued as far as I’m aware any other legal action. Why not ? Could you clarify?

This has been nagging on my mind since a while.They raved and raged to get their arguido status left and I read that they would appeal to higher courts etc… since then,nothing on the rumor. Instead,they had it postponed over the next 3 months and still no news on the subject.
Are they finally well advised?
Do you remembere when the PJ made a deal with K?
You confess and we will make your life easier etc…. she refused.
What people will not forgive them is the ongoing show they are making out of human tragedy.
Saying the truth,only the truth they really would get more sympathy because we are only small…..

The PJ don’t WANT to keep what you call “their evidence” (at this stage, it is not” evidence”, it is the findings of the inquiry so far. But not being a lawyer, maybe I am wrong about that), they HAVE TO, until the persons who are now placed under their examination, the arguidos, become suspects, if ever they will.
Arguido simply means that their role in the case is still under scrutiny. They can do all they want. All that is asked from them is to make themselves available if the PJ want to ask them more questions, and not to influence public opinion or other witnesses by talking publicly about the case.

It’s quite interesting that after a bit of a ‘flurry’ of posts in the GM Blog relating to “George Harrison / Creepyman’, there has been nothing at all since it was discovered to be a load of old nonsense. Stupidly, Gerry pinned a lot of credibility to the story and the sketch, emphasising how Jane Tanner thought it “has a strong resemblance to the man she saw”. Hard for him now to retreat and say perhaps “how disppointing that this story has turned out to be of no help and didn’t last longer”.

About the rogatory letters: Perhaps it has to do with the date they will start with it, closer to next May 3.
Perhaps with more investigations we don’t know about.
There are reasons enough to declare suspects some others of Tapas 9.

I was not surprised they refused to be received by Oprah Winfrey. A talk show, inprovised chat, Kate could make mistakes.The USA are not believing the McCanns.
