Madeleine McCann: Carlos Anjos Says, Clarence Mitchell Replies And The Daily Express Is Quiet
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN: “Maddie cops snub”
Carlos Anjos, head of the Portuguese Police Federation, says: “There are bigger problems in the police”, than the case of Madeleine McCann
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “Mr Anjos is entitled to his opinion but it is entirely unhelpful”
This the same Carlos Anjos who once noted:
“There is no criminal investigation which can feed a news frenzy for six months, so what we have seen are both English and Portuguese journalists behaving in a scandalous and unprofessional way. Writing terrible stories in the papers, some of which have clearly affected the McCanns… now we have to say that the McCanns are partly to blame for this. Because it was something they created”
And then one of the oddest lines yet seen in a newspaper:
“Meanwhile cops have ruled out a theory the four-year-old could have been snatched by Swiss pervert Urs Hans Von Aesch. He blew his chance in august after killing a girl of five”
Anyone care to explain that comment?
DAILY STAR: “FIND MADDIE? WE’VE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO. HEAD COP BLASTS McCANN SEARCH”
Says Mr Anjos: “There are bigger problems than the Maddie case”
Why the Star should appear shocked at this seem unclear, given the tabloid stories of paedophilia being rife in Portugal
Says Mr Anjos: “I am certain that all of my colleagues involved in the investigation are doing everything they can to discover what happened”
DAILY MIRROR: “Maddy’s ‘not our priority’”
Mr Anjos made his views known in Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas
MARI Luz Cortes – Still missing. Her father has posted a £110,000 reward, The paper reports that police are “scaling down the search”
DAILY MAIL: “Maddie? We’ve got bigger problems”
Says Mr Anjos: “But with respect, there are bigger problems in the Policia Judiciaria than the Madeleine case”
DAILY EXPRESS: NO MADELEINE NEWS – Which is the biggest Madeleine McCann news of the past six months
Madeleine McCann: hype, frenzy and speculation

Hi Chatelaine,
I also live in winelands.
Currently they are harvesting. But more and more they are using those huge harvesters, and as a result one hardly sees chameleons anymore.
I really love those creatures and wish I could encourage farmers to move back to hand harvests. But it all goes down to time and money.
Is it still ageless where you are?
Can we come and visit?

Hi Everybody
I just got exam results back and I’d forgotten I’d done the exam!!!
Alcohol is evil.
Still I got 79%, which is crap but not a disaster.
And there’s more to come in April. Or is it March??? Oh, hell.
It’s February now and I don’t care.

I would really like to know what happened. Hopefully, the PJ investigation will let us know.
*************
So do I and many others who are seeking the truth for Madeleine.
The PJ has been/is diligent in spite of all the obstacles they had in their way.
Time will tell.

GERRY ADMITS:
Cowardly refusing to ask NecroSearch for help.
Gerry read their book as light reading material on their holiday but he cannot have then surning over some stones!
Retardo3 is a bloody shame, NacroSearch is excellent and MUCH CHEAPER .
Afraid they would find something, Gerry?
Thank you for the kind words on NecroSearch. You are correct in that we can only become involved in case when requested to do so by the agency in charge of the investigation. In order for us to be of assistance to the agency, they generally have an area that they believe the remains may be and in most cases, these remains are either underwater or buried. By using scientific methods, we can often rule out an area even if the remains are not located. If they have been unable to narrow down the search to a specific area, we probably can’t be of much help. But, of course we would be glad to talk with the agency to see if there was anything we might be able to assist with.
We have been on cases in six countries other than the United States over the years, so yes, we do travel abroad when requested. We do not charge for our time or services, however since we are a non-profit organization and all volunteers, we do ask that the agencies take care of expenses, i.e., airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals and any miscellaneous expenses.
I hope this answers your questions regarding NecroSearch.
Kind regards,
John R. McPhail, President
NecroSearch International

We also get those ones. But as the French complain a lot (it is a national habit), the foreigners who complain go unnoticed !!!
I think that those who go to Spain and don’t learn the language, are mostly attracted by the weather. They have no culture, apart from fish and ships, soccer, and booze, so they don’t know one thing about Spanish litterature, philosophy, history, arts, or whatever.
But some are incredibly learned. I have met some Americans who know everything about lace in the VIII th century in France, for instance ; some English who know everything about some period of our history. Many Roumanians speak an incredible French. Some Russians who never came to France read the most colloquial, difficult books, and love them.
As for those who have no understanding of our culture, who cares? Do you know the story, of the lady who apologetically said to, I think it was, Benjamen Britten : “I am sorry, I really don’t like Beethoven”. He looked at her and said : “Don’t worry. You know, I don’t think it matters at all!”. So much for those who don’t like the Spanish, the French (or the English). It won’t stop our countries from being beautiful and receiving thousands of visitors, year after year.

Since when has chit-chat been a with-hunt?
There’s no evidence that the McCanns have been attacked in the street or forced to move house - so why the hyper-concern over pitchforks?
Far more hate gets directed towards Tom Cruise and he’s nothing but a slightly dim movie star who joined an alien cult.
And I’ve behaved worse campaigning for Greenpeace and Amnesty International.
(why does Anorak keep forgetting who I am these days? Is it my computer???)

I know Chaplins well, nice English pub-type restaurant, beside church. Good for bangers and mash and quizzes.
I have read the speculation that they were there and someone had to get them cos kids were on their own and noisy - frankly I don’t believe that. If it turns out to be true they should be strung up.
