Madeleine McCann: Carlos Anjos Says, Clarence Mitchell Replies And The Daily Express Is Quiet

Carlos Anjos, head of the Portuguese Police Federation, says: “There are bigger problems in the police”, than the case of Madeleine McCann
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “Mr Anjos is entitled to his opinion but it is entirely unhelpful”
This the same Carlos Anjos who once noted:
“There is no criminal investigation which can feed a news frenzy for six months, so what we have seen are both English and Portuguese journalists behaving in a scandalous and unprofessional way. Writing terrible stories in the papers, some of which have clearly affected the McCanns… now we have to say that the McCanns are partly to blame for this. Because it was something they created”
And then one of the oddest lines yet seen in a newspaper:
“Meanwhile cops have ruled out a theory the four-year-old could have been snatched by Swiss pervert Urs Hans Von Aesch. He blew his chance in august after killing a girl of five”
Anyone care to explain that comment?
DAILY STAR: “FIND MADDIE? WE’VE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO. HEAD COP BLASTS McCANN SEARCH”

Why the Star should appear shocked at this seem unclear, given the tabloid stories of paedophilia being rife in Portugal
Says Mr Anjos: “I am certain that all of my colleagues involved in the investigation are doing everything they can to discover what happened”
DAILY MIRROR: “Maddy’s ‘not our priority’”
Mr Anjos made his views known in Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas

I think they’re trying to convince us the abductor came in or left through the window to cover up the sheer stupidity of leaving the door unlocked. Are we really to believe that an abductor used an awkward window when he could use a door?

We were trying to have this discussion in the SKY blog today (between being flamed of course) I don’t buy into the ‘abduction’ theory, but I like to examine all possibilities. What bothers me is that there is no Clarriefication as to how someone was supposed to have gained access into the apartment. From the start there have been conflicting details from Aunty Phil, Kate the uncle and everybody else.
I asked about the front door - would it have been possible for a ‘abductor’ to have a key? Someone came back to me that there was a report that the front door lock was faulty and the Mcs used the patio doors regularly. So technically no - key would be useless.
Patio Doors - where they locked or unlocked or even were they visibly open? If they were locked there would have to be a break in. Is an ‘abductor’ going to risk the noise? Presumably he/she/they had reccied the place and knew there were two young babies that could be woken.
If they were unlocked - how would he/she/they know they were unlocked? They would have to have been clocking the Mcs movements on the previous nights.
Visibly open? I don’t think even the Mcs are that careless.
Window shutters? - again the noise of jemmieing these open would be enough to raise awareness of anyone nearby let alone the children - would he/she/they take that risk? Also there are reports that the shutters were forced from he inside - again why didn’t the babies wake up?
If the patio doors were already unlocked then why exit through the window. If they did exit throught the window, what about the lichen - there was no smudges.
We need a heavyweight to start asking Clarrie some questions. I elect Martin Brunt!. If they want us to believe there was an abduction, then they should provide some evidence and detail as to how.
Why this is so difficult is beyond me. Clarrie mouths off about everything else so how about some detail.
Incidentally does anyone know if Clarrie is still doing work for the MMU?

Setting up a website for your missing daughter less than two weeks after she disapeared
setting up a fund for your daughter that is not a charity two weeks after she disapeared
applying for patents re: no stone unturned, 15 days later
jogging/tennis/ matching outfits within days
taking photo calls in and outside church with arms full of flowers - smiling at well wishers.
flying to meet the pope with camera crew at the ready - 3 weeks after
getting a friend to video you ‘at home’ in your free villa less than two months after
flying to the usa the day after police report a sighting of your daughter in belguim
giving interveiws where you discuss the long term goals of the fund - and do not mention at any point the return of your daughter
handing out photos of you and twins playing at park / zoo
telling every one that you are going to have a quiet / difficult christmas and then invite the press to christmas morning mass..

I think the trouble is that there’s no way of The Abduction story fitting with the McCanns story about being responsible parents but K & G are determind to make it fit - so we’re left with all these inconsistencies.
