What I meant was - that when the focus moves away from trying to prove that the McCanns had a hand in Madeleine’s death, people do fall back on the “well they neglected her!” line.
(Which they did, of course).
But at present, it looks as if they will get off scot-free.
As you say, not even punished for that terrible neglect. Yet we KNOW here, don’t we, that they are guilty of so much more…
