You must understand, that in these countries, particularly in rural areas, people feel safe. They feel they can trust their neighbours and they feel their children can play safely without any worries of child abductors- the way people thought years ago in UK and Ireland. Abductions were apparently rare where these children were taken, so you cannot blame the parents. Madeline was left alone numerous times with two two year olds in a flat too far from the tapas bar where her parents clearly couldn’t see her or hear the children. Check this out though

Madeleine was left ALONE at 3 while mom and dad were out eating and drinking. LEFT ALONE AT 3 YEARS OF AGE?!?!?!

Jeremy Vargas’s mum says she RETURNED from the shops with her mother and say him playing alone? The article does NOT say who was watching him while his mom was out SHOPPING. Was he left along?

Mari Luz, at the age of 5 was allowed to go to the store ALONE?

What is wrong with these parents that they allow SMALL children to be left alone, or allowed to go off alone. Like i said it does not say if someone was watching Jeremy, but he was left alone outside.
I mean our children should be safe and not have to worry about some sick person taking them. BUT it is a parent’s responsibility to KEEP THEM SAFE!!
