Madeleine McCann: Lying To Children, Ian McEwan And Questions
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MIRROR: “McCann pals face new quiz”
“It is understood Jane Tanner, Russell O’Brien and David Payne, three of the Tapas Seven, may be questioned over alleged inconsistencies in their statements”
“Understood” and “may.” Such are the facts. Such is the reporting
Say the McCanns’ family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “There is no suggestion Kate and Gerry will be re-interviewed”
And “suggestion”
DAILY RECORD: “One Last Try To Get Maddie Answers”
“Staff at the resort where Madeleine McCann vanished have again been quizzed by detectives. It comes as they prepare to re-interview pals of Kate and Gerry McCann in a last-ditch bid to crack the case”
Anyone we know questioned?
“Pool cleaner Luis Antonio, the husband of suspect Robert Murat’s girlfriend Michaela Walczuch, was one of five questioned in Praia da Luz”
Any reason why they were quizzed once more?
A judicial source tells Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas: “Several police interviews have been repeated. The statements are being analysed to try to find any lead that could result in a new line of investigation”
Analysing statements, eh. Technical stuff…
In his internet blog yesterday, Gerry McCann vowed not to give up looking for his young daughter, adding: “We hope the police are similarly determined”
DAILY EXPRESS: “POLICE LAST CHANCE TO FIND MADELEINE”
“Five staff members who were at the Ocean Club complex on the night she went missing have been quizzed in recent days as pressure mounts to conclude the investigation”
Why those five? Which five? The WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER does not say
THE SUN: “Cops’ final bid to solve Maddie”
Michaela Walczuch “who denies any involvement in Maddie’s disappearance – was allegedly spotted in Zaio, Morocco, on June 15, moments after a girl resembling Madeleine was seen being dragged away by an African woman”
Three of the McCanns’ freins witll be spoken to by police.
A “source” says: “It sounded like they were concerned about timeline inconsistencies. But if you have nine people not wearing watches, it would be suspicious if their times matched exactly”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Lying to children”
“From white lies to whoppers, vagueness with the truth is part of parenthood. But as Katie Tait learns from one psychologist, deceiving children is never justified”
Recently I told Kitty, our youngest child, that the police car had pulled us over because she was screaming in the back of the car (in fact I was, stupidly, speeding, but partly as a result of her noise). She is now mousey-quiet on journeys. My caprice over the tooth fairy has reached such an extent that the correspondence between “Molly” and my daughter Agnes fills two whole shoe boxes.
Then there are the areas that I don’t really want them to know the whole truth about. Will they get scared if I tell them that Madeleine McCann, whose picture they have seen everywhere, was taken from her bed? What about the news stories of dogs biting children to death? Will they ever go near next door’s puppy again? To me, vagueness with the truth is part of being a human being and certainly part of being a parent. But apparently, I am deeply wrong.
Maybe Katie’s children can read the truth in her article?
THE AGE (Aus): “The private and the public”
An interview with Ian McEwan, the author: “Journalists rang him because the disappearance of four-year-old Madeleine bore a dark similarity to the plot of his 1987 novel, The Child in Time, when a father has his three-year old girl stolen from him in a supermarket”
DVDTOWN: “GONE BABY GONE”
If you’re thinking that this film was a quick knockoff inspired by the real-life Madeleine McCann case–the little girl who disappeared from her family’s Portugal vacation home while her mom and dad were at a party not far away–it’s really just another case of life imitating art. Lehane’s novel about a four-year-old girl who turns up missing under similar circumstances was published way back in 1994.

Never touched the stuff (even though some think I should. Thanks RR) But if others wish to then it’s their choice.

All the evidence to date has proven that long term use of cannabis has an effect
on the brain, dulling the senses and mood changes. I beleive that is why the
U.K. government is going to reclassify it as a class B drug

I mean no offence, but, I think it was probably more a case of a teenage reaction to you looking at your son, more that the pot reaction. I have experience of this too, I smoked it socially for 15 years with no adverse effects, no paranoia or depression. When I lost my daughter, I used pot to help me relax and sleep, and generally just to calm me, I never toughed the vallium my dr prescribed!.
Many people worry that they will move on to harder drugs, which ok, this can be true as the harder drugs are more readily available from the sources close to pot dealers, but thats all, its still a choice thing. Personally pot is the only drug I have ever used, Ive never been tempted by anything mind altering. Pot is no worse than a glass of wine, it relaxs you thats all.
You have more of a problem with your son in the fact he was stealing from you. There is a saying once a thief always a thief, but I dont think there is a saying like that for smoking pot!

I am very sure that when May referred to the ‘powers that be’ she wasn’t referring to Anorak’s editors, etc., but to the wider world.
Not sure if that’s what you meant to question, just guessing.

“having seen the paranoia and depressive illnesses that prolonged use can lead to,”
Have to agree here NC. I would love to believe as MOTH does……..did enjoy for a time, but not only became very aware of the mental side-effects quite prevalent….but also personally I experienced a weakening of the immune system……constantly getting infections…..so just don’t think it is healthy…….also some research connects with increased birth defects. The other thing is the predominance of skunk on the streets……….not the same thing is it ???

1072 False Flag
For many people, they just cannot bring themselves to believe this level of corruption and deceit and immorality is possible–not from our very own fellow citizens. It’s a betrayal of the highest level. Knowledge of its existence forever alters your perception of the world and humanity and dims hopes for the future, at least it did for me.
I choose to make the most of the life I have been given and try not to dwell too long on this issue, although it cannot help but come up into the foreground again and again, due to political and military actions being taken that affect us. How unfair that so few can try to destroy what is good about humanity and cause such profound suffering, to make richer people even more obscenely rich.
If I thought there was a chance for success, I would fight for change. But we know that the public is often misled to join fights, start revolutions, only for it to end up benefitting the controlling class or others just waiting to take over the reins and continue the work the others began.
Perhaps there are some super geniuses out there who will figure out a way out of this mess we are in.

they would receive more co-operation from the U.K.

MOAH - i actually have no problem with people smoking pot though it is my choice not to, having seen the paranoia and depressive illnesses that prolonged use can lead to, i choose to stick to good old nicotene and take my chance with cancer..
____________
Noseycow, I’ve never used it either even some though friends are ’social users’ from time to time. You can’t convince anyone who uses it that long term use can lead to what you said above - paranoia and depression. My oldest teenage boy got hooked two years ago - I work long hours so he had all the time in the world to use and me none the wiser. BUT he started acting strange, when I would look at him to talk he’d strike out and say ‘quick looking at me’, he started acting strange, money was mising from my purse on and off. It hit me something was wrong but what I wasn’t sure. I took him to a doctor who immediately told me to take him for help. His system was so filled with marijuana it took over a month to clean his sytem out where he had to jog everyday, play basketball - he had to work that marijuana out of his system. By the way, they tested him for every drug under the sun - it was only marijuna they found in his system that did that to him.
February 17th, 2008 at 5:37 pm
MOAH - i have not been programmed to fight you on this issue- i am not fighting you on this issue.
My veiws on prolonged and excessive use come from the personal experience of a close friend and not the government
it is her choice whether she continues and i will not judge her for her decision.
You say you fight for freedom of choice, but you get offended when i make different choices from you??

Doesn’t it blow your mind though, knowing that military service men are willing to follow commands, such as false flag operations, because they are trained to do so, and keep quiet about them, until many years later, because they worry for their and their own families’ safety?
If we can’t depend on them to do the right thing in the beginning of such an operation, what makes you think the military personnel will have independence and courage now that so much more is on the line and they know the power of the machine? Most people look to protect their own, even if it means letting other people down–it’s a form of survival and has been part of the human condition forever.
Part of me would love to fight to the death. In fact, watching all the information about the treasonous and immoral activities of the international bankers on the Zeitgeist movie, I’d like to see all current holders of these elite power positions and the descendants of the earlier models to be rounded up and shot or hung… They certainly deserve severe punishment. These people are severely mentally ill, to turn the world into a suffering cesspool, just so they can be king of the crapper, so to speak. All for the love of money and power–outrageously insane!

There’s not much i can say to that unfortunately although i hear the words of a Sugar Bullet song going round my head. “You take a drug from the system and it stops you from resistin”. Your talking bollox about paranoia and depression by the way. Why don’t you look away from the filtered media for your information. I am not lying to you. You are spreading lies and government propaganda. You have been programmed to fight me on this issue. Please read some books on the subject by Jack Herer.

I take it that you are joking when you say that pot could save the planet? Without doubt, it can cause paranoia and schizophrenia, sometimes leading to violence and murder. Surely you cannot believe that a brief bit of pleasure is worth the mental illness and anguish that it can cause, especially to the young? And why would noseycow have wished to have sex at the age of 15 or, indeed, want her own children to participate at this age? No one who cares for their children or has any self respect would agree with you. Tell me you were joking.

“re. Zeitgeist: the movie
I watched the second half of the movie. Despite being familiar with most of the political truths, I still found myself seriously despondent last night after seeing this well put-together film. SNIP
…Should we start a new thread dedicated to Zeitgeist on the forum to discuss these issues? ”
**************
I too thought it would be interesting to have a Zeitgeist forum as there is so much to discuss. My next thought was to wonder how much this would deflect from the discussion on the fate of Madeleine?
Perhaps the powers that be would enjoy the lessening of the Madeleine debate, if that was the outcome. We would have to ensure equal attention to both forums.
But it is essential to permanently highlight the ways in which we are already being controlled in so many areas by behind the scenes activities we seem to have so little power to resist.

The UK authorities will have the final say if any British citizen, at present on British soil, will or would face trial in a foreign country. Britain does not give her people up without good cause, and the British authorities will decide if there is a case to answer.
