A judicial source tells Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas: “Several police interviews have been repeated. The statements are being analysed to try to find any lead that could result in a new line of investigation”
Analysing statements, eh. Technical stuff…
In his internet blog yesterday, Gerry McCann vowed not to give up looking for his young daughter, adding: “We hope the police are similarly determined”

A “source” says: “It sounded like they were concerned about timeline inconsistencies. But if you have nine people not wearing watches, it would be suspicious if their times matched exactly”

Recently I told Kitty, our youngest child, that the police car had pulled us over because she was screaming in the back of the car (in fact I was, stupidly, speeding, but partly as a result of her noise). She is now mousey-quiet on journeys. My caprice over the tooth fairy has reached such an extent that the correspondence between “Molly” and my daughter Agnes fills two whole shoe boxes.
Then there are the areas that I don’t really want them to know the whole truth about. Will they get scared if I tell them that Madeleine McCann, whose picture they have seen everywhere, was taken from her bed? What about the news stories of dogs biting children to death? Will they ever go near next door’s puppy again? To me, vagueness with the truth is part of being a human being and certainly part of being a parent. But apparently, I am deeply wrong.
Maybe Katie’s children can read the truth in her article?

The President of the Junta de Andalucía met the Cortés family this weekend to show his support and his hopes for Mari Luz’s safe return
The Cortés family say they are against a poster campaign launched in Spain by the McCann family which shows images of four year old Madeleine alongside their daughter, Mari Luz, who disappeared in Huelva on 13th January, and others pictured with Yeremi Vargas, who was seven when he disappeared from Gran Canaria last year.
Mari Luz’s father, Juan José Cortés, said after a meeting with Manuel Chaves, President of the Junta de Andalucía, this weekend, that, while he is not against collaborating in the search for Madeleine and ‘even helping to draw up a poster of all the missing youngsters,’ the lines of investigation into the disappearance of the two young girls are distinct, and are being carried out in two separate countries. EFE said he is considering taking legal action for using his daughter’s image for the campaign.
The news agency noted his comment that the press in Portugal is reporting that the cost of the poster campaign is being met with 4,000 € from each family.
Juan José Cortés said after the meeting with Chaves, ‘the President has understood the pain we are suffering, and this type of meeting helps us to at least feel we have the support of the administration.’

The majority know the dangers, may even have experienced some themselves and do their utmost to protect the innocent.
Another large % are followers and cannot see the wood for the trees.

Oh but they did indeed include witnesses [allegedly] all the nannies from the creches who had been involved with the McCs were immediately whipped out and off to MW sites in other countries ! Included the nanny Pennington, I think, who had said at one stage that she saw Madeleine having supper on the 3rd with her whole family at the kids’ club. As I remember it, it seemed to imply that Gerry eas there as well although all subsequent stories would refute this. This whole scenario seems to be no longer onder consideration……probably they want it forgotten….I guess she is a deeply discredited witness and relying on her as they may have initially hoped to do - would be very detrimental to their credibility. But did somebody realise that almost immediately and demand she be packed off …..or what is the explanation of that ???

One thing for sure, the media lie consistently to sell their papers. Throughout this case, if there’s been no news, they’ve made it up which is where a lot of inconsistencies have come from. Yes, there have been a lot of reported inconsistencies in the McLiars stories, it’s working out which stories came from the McC’s (tv interviews) and what’s been reported in the press and seperating the 2.
