Madeleine McCann: Scare Stories, Kate McCann’s Job And No Mari Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “FIVE ATTEMPTED KIDNAPS LINK TO MADELEINE CASE”
“Detectives searching for Madeleine McCann are now investigating a spate of attempted child abductions across Portugal.
“At least five kidnap attempts have been reported in the past month, leading officers from the Madeleine team to examine the details for possible connections.”
What of the headline “link” to Madeleine McCann – well, the alleged attempted kidnappings all occurred in Portugal
But “Last week Justice Minister Alberto Costa revealed that the head detective, Paulo Rebelo, was coming to the end of his case”, says the WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “It’s alarming to hear that this sort of thing can happen, particularly in a country that is so aware of the potential for abduction”
DAILY MIRROR: “Maddy: 5 scares in Portugal”
Police searching for Madeleine McCann are also investigating five attempted child abductions in northern Portugal. They began when a nine-year-old girl was bundled into a car as she got off her school bus. Two more children were attacked last month and last Thursday two men tried to lure a girl of nine into a car. Last Saturday, another child escaped abduction. One police source said: “It is causing a lot of alarm.”
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine McCann’s disappearance is ‘linked to a string of child abductions’”
Police investigating Madeleine McCann’s disappearance have been alerted over a spate of attempted child abductions in northern Portugal, it has been revealed. At least four children have been targeted in the last month in the region of Coimbra, where a nine-year-old girl escaped from an abductor in December.
It’s five children. The Express and Mirror both say its five
KATE McCANN: “Meanwhile, it is understood Kate McCann is quitting her job as a locum GP to devote her life to children’s charities. Mrs McCann has not returned to work since Madeleine’s disappearance in May and has reportedly told friends she feels she has a lot to offer charity organisations.
THE SCOTSMAN: “Torment of Madeleine’s family ‘is like being crucified’”
Kate McCann’s mother Susan Healey says: “It is almost like being crucified day to day. I read the most stupid things about Kate not crying enough or whatever”
Adding: “Kate and Gerry know they made a mistake and shouldn’t have left the children, they know that, but they certainly don’t deserve what has happened to them. If the Portuguese can’t find out what happened to Madeleine, we have to find out. There is no way Madeleine will fade into insignificance”
Gerry McCann is a “surgeon”
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Missing Amy’s parents offer cash reward”
The parents of missing Irish expat Amy Fitzpatrick have offered a cash reward for information on her whereabouts. Franco Rey, spokesman for Amy’s Stepfather David Mahon and Amy’s mum Audrey, said: “A substantial reward is on offer to anyone who can provide reliable information on Amy’s whereabouts. Any information received will be treated within the strictest confidence.”
And:
Dubliner Mr Mahon (36) has also travelled to Tangiers in northern Morocco to investigate the possibility the teenager was snatched and taken to Africa.
Rewards have also been offered for missing Briton Madeleine McCann and missing Spanish girl Mari Luz Cortes. The family of five-year-old Mari Luz, snatched from her home in Huelva in south-west Spain on January 13, is offering €300,000 for information on her whereabouts. Rewards totalling £2.6m were offered within 10 days of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance on May 3 last year from the Algarve holiday resort of Praia da Luz.
TYPICALLY SPANISH: “parents of missing Mari Luz are against her image being used in a Madeleine McCann poster campaign”
Mari Luz’s father, Juan José Cortés, said after a meeting with Manuel Chaves, President of the Junta de Andalucía, this weekend, that, while he is not against collaborating in the search for Madeleine and ‘even helping to draw up a poster of all the missing youngsters,’ the lines of investigation into the disappearance of the two young girls are distinct, and are being carried out in two separate countries. EFE [Spanish news agency] said he is considering taking legal action for using his daughter’s image for the campaign.

I don’t know about the media being controlled by fascists - most of the Media people I’ve met (I live next to the BBC and close to STV in Glasgow) are Liberals under the delusion that they’re Militant Marxists.
But Spooks is fiction.
That’s why it sounds dumb (no offence Val).

Yes answered you before - and if you dont know my views yet, then you dont read my posts!
In a nutshell, accident when unsupervised (might be associated with hair beads and choking). Suspect died in the bed (hence need for sheets by O’Brien and reference to sick child). O’Brien carried off body, Tanner covered this with a story in case someone saw him (if she didnt recognise abductor then everyone would immediately conclude not her partner). She probably thought Jez would have seen him.Later adjusted statements as it became clear no one had seen him.
Not averse to the idea that all this happened on 2nd of May - also suspicious about Chaplins and happy hour (and Quiz Night Tuesday night).
No idea where he took the body or where it is now (Huelva acid beds - a possibility).
Why else be so certain that it was an abduction? Makes sense to pick the least likely to reduce accusations about having taken risks - knowledge of child protection made them forget rules in Portugal might differ (all NHS GP’s briefed ‘recently’ prior to May of 2007)
Reason for hiding it all? Likely they’d have been struck off by GMC by now - possibly sedatives causing sickness and choking?
Lots of thoughts really, none involve abduction - highly unlikely and no evidence - too strong a belief by McCanns, they’d even have suspected friends if really abducted anyway.

someone not believing in abduction doesn’t necessarily mean that someone owes you an alternative explanation of events.
in exactly the same way that people are free to boycott portugal if that’s what they want, although it wouldn’t be abductors that kept me away, but more that i think the place is crap.
imo, of course.

Stop trying to wind me up. You asked for confirmation and i have given it to you. You have to do the rest for yourself.
At the risk of being repetitive, I checked your links and found none of your “confirmation”. I will drop in now and again to see if you come up with any facts to back up your faith in these theories

Don’t worry Ian, when and if you ever grow up, you will know the meaning of truth. At this moment in time you are a very junior and minor irritation on this board, whom I sometimes dein to toy with.

As you can see from my responses to MOAH, everyone has the right to think, what they want, and you are entitled to your opinion, as am I, in this day of “free” speech. I agree there a conspiracies in government, you only have to
watch Spooks on TV. However, I still think we need PROOF, and until there
is positive evidence, it remains a theory.
I have no wish to undermine MOAH”s or your opinions

I notice Mrs Healy seems to equate no headlines/publicity with insignificance.
How did the Healy/McCann clan cope before the press came along? They were all insignificant.
I was at Mass this morning and was resolved to come home and say nothing or nice things about the McCanns - but then I read more annoying twitterings and my resolution fails.

Hard not to respond to other posters I know, but I am just about to start a new approach (I like to do that occasionally) where I will respond to friendly posts if requested but will ignore but list the names of those who use personal or abusive posts directly against me, or those who simply write ‘crap’ - especially those who reach illogical conclusions (or are ’superier but dumb’).
After all, we dont have to actually hold conversations and we just give the more scary and idiotic posters ‘publicity’!

Not sure if I have missed a response from Ian but if not, I would still like to know the answer to my previous query. Ian - if you think there was no abduction, what is it you think happened to Madeleine ? why ? and where do you think she is now ?
……………………………………………………..
You know how it is when you walk along the pavement and people bump into you, or make you step off into the road ? or they walk straight out of a shop and into you like you are invisible ? and you feel like saying “…hullloooo?? walking here !! ” well - I am beginning to feel like that with Ian, see above…..

That statement is bollox and i demand that you take it back. As i keep saying (because of people like you) , i am not depressed or pessimistic. If you read my posts you will find out that i believe that we can overcome the one world government. Ask Jolie if i am pessimistic and negative? Get your facts straight.
Also you posted an article from the british press. If you knew my argument you would know that i believe only news from unfiltered media (non government linked sources), which is hardly a description i would use for the Daily Mail.

Maybe Gerry could go walkabouts on the Falkland Islands?
Then she’d get rid of po-face and have a reason to fight against landmines and get away from the slightly tainted issue of ‘child protection’ - though as an example of what not to do, she’d be perfect (and she does seem to like perfection doesnt she!).

I did see that programme, but couldn”t watch much of it because to me it is an
exploitation of children, same as Jon Benet, why can”t they just be allowed to grow up normally?

Family Mari Luz with McCann threatens legal action
Phone number is out of service
The family of Mari Luz Cortes, the Spanish missing since early Jan. 13 in Huelva, requested that the posters or her picture is a symbol-a symbol with Madeleine McCann no longer be distributed and even considers the possibility to take action lawsuit against Kate and Gerry McCann if their demand was not met.
Juan José Cortés, father of Mari Luz, said today that the disappearance of mixing Madeleine to that of his daughter “is not an appropriate strategy,” reaffirming that he has never given its consent to posters created by McCann family.
“These are two totally different case with roads completely separate investigation,” said the father of Mari Luz while exiting a meeting with the President of the Autonomous Government of Andalusia.
From A3 size, 18,000 posters announced by the head of public relations couple McCann, Clarence Mitchell, for a total cost of more than 4,000 euros, indicate a contact number for reporting information about who is Mari Luz not in use.

Improbable as it is, all other explanations are more improbable still.
It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
