It’s something to spend money on and that keeps everyone looking busy and then it’s something to go gawp at and that gives the public something to do when there’s nothing else to do.
I go to the Modern Art Gallery all the time. I look at the nice white walls and I have a latte. Haven’t a clue what actual art is in there.
