ON the BBC: “In any other business, Parviz Khan would have been known as the fixer – the guy to go to when you needed something done.

A Muslim terrorist who was on the verge of carrying out his plan to to kidnap and execute a British soldier “like a pig” when police caught up with him has been jailed for life.

But in reality he was the frustrated jihadi who got tired of being told to know his place.

Despite his significance among an international network, the unemployed Birmingham charity worker was unhappy with his lot.

Yes, an unemployed charity worker. Is that possible? Anorak readers will recall the name Carole Vincent, the Big Brother star who operated as an unemployed sexual health worker from East London. How was that possible?
