Juan Jose Cortes, father of the missing girl, says: “Why didn’t they ask us? The three cases are not connected. We are with our lawyers.”
McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell says: “We did have permission from the family”

Hi there all
I’d like to give my little input (for whatever its worth) regarding the twins (and this is from personal experience).
When my youngest was 18 months old (he’s 5 now), he was held with a gun at his head in an attempted car hijacking. At the time he could only say basic baby words. When he was about 2 1/2, and could put a couple of words together, he started to repeat EXACTLY what had happened that night, and no amount of anyone telling him that it didn’t happen helped, he was adamant, and his memory of the event was very, very clear, he even repeated about my friends’ daughter’s boyfriend lying on the floor with a gun at his head as well. He has to this day, not forgotten what happened that night, and he could not even speak properly at the time. He actually remembered more detail of the night than I did!
If the twins did see something, it will eventually come out, and no amount of cajoling from anyone to try and change their memories will help, they are not robots and their programming cannot be changed. However, if they didn’t see anything that would stick in their minds, then they probably won’t be repeating long untrue stories about it.
