Is it a coincidence that there are two separate McCann articles in the paper today from each of the grandmas? One is with Mrs. Healy speaking out to the Rhys Jones family (Why do they have to do this through the press?? If the expression of sympathy and commiseration is sincere, wouldn’t it have been more appropriately expressed family to family, without the media spotlight? Of course, I do understand the highest motivation is an attempt to gain more sympathy for darling Kate and Kate’s husband.) The second article is Mrs. Eileen McCann announcing to the world that her son and daughter-in-law are too sad to return to Ireland for a vacation. I don’t think the McCanns should be taking any vacations for a long time, and certainly without taking any of their children, unless they’re going back to Portugal…
But really, why two grandmas, two articles, same day? Were they given their assignments by the the pink-shirted one?

Ok, I’m back, just read through the posts, let me answer one for one :
No, Karen not for me (and hopefully not for my son either), although I was very jumpy for some time afterwards. This is a way of life for us here, it happens every single day with people getting shot just for their cars, even though they offer no resistance. I am ultra-observant, and try not to get into any situation again that could be potentially dangerous.

Am I correct in thinking it’s KMs 40th birthday quite soon (on 6 March)? Wonder how her ladyship will celebrate? Possibly a great “swinging” party with all the medics and one less child for the babysitter! Oops just forgot there - they dont usually bother with babysitters do they!

im glad to hear that karen….Gandys lovely video is a guy hacking through a chickens neck with a blunt knife . I didnt watch it all i found it deeply disturbing to think someone would want to film something like this let alone anyone would want to watch it. Its not nice and anyone who finds this funny well what can I say. I assume it was some knid of sick joke as im a rooster however a joke it certainly wasnt. If someone wants to have a go at me thats fine, I can take it and respond with venom as you all know, but this is just sick and pathetic

So not only do the McCann couple have a spokesman in Mitchell, but the Find Madeleine Fund has its own spokesperson, too? Glad there’s so much money to be flung around for these salaries. I assume it comes from the Fund, or from another generous benefactor, perhaps?
Considering the serious lack of information and detail put out by the Find Madeleine Fund, what do they need a dedicated spokesperson for?

Jolie, may I ask how old your son is now? I ask only because I was hoping beyond hope that my sons memory of a tragedy he saw 10 years ago may fade somewhat

I found your report about your son’s recollection of events from his traumatic experience and the ability to clearly communicate it later when he developed spoken language skills quite interesting. I’m sure you would have preferred that he had been able to forget the incident completely. His remembering demonstrates the deep imprint these types of events have even on the youngest victims.

New Labour are masters of political opportunism - although, that’s why they slip up and get caught out all the time. Twice Tony faked Terror Alerts on Iraq War bad news days - not subtle.
But the Maddy Mania was more religious in nature than anxiety-provoking. It’s more like the Angel of Mons or something like that. It’s interesting that Gerry had a vision - maybe he’s converted all his guilt into a Messiah complex???

Hi All- it’s been ages since I’ve been on the forum and it’s great to know you’ve kept the interest going.Thought that you might be interested to know that David Hodgson was found guilty of the murder of Jenny Nicholl today at Teesside Crown Court. This was a murder trial without the knowledge of the where abouts of Jenny’s dead body. (Although the police believe it to be somewhere on the Yorkshire Moors). I thought that this might have relevance to the McCann case since Ms body has not been found, hopefully the PJ can still prosecute the arrogant gits . By the way Hodgson got 18 years in prison.

I’d almost rather believe the government is protecting a high-level paedophile that was with the group or some other sordid tale, than to think it is a ploy to further their attempts at achieving large scale political goals. I think the latter makes more sense, though, imo, based on the McCanns’ behavior, as outlined in that blog article.

It seems that Mrs. Healy is implying in some way that the Joneses are more fortunate than the McCann clan is as they know their son is dead and were able to hold his dead body.
I can understand thinking such a thought, but to put it out into the press is a very cold and uncaring statement, I think. Unless the Healys and McCanns know their Madeleine is dead, they at least, can still have hope.
