‘Ambulance chasing’ is about making money, not about ensuring that children are not exposed to risks in the way the McCanns children were.
These people are in roles which are held in high esteem in our society - they are supposed to have sufficiently good judgment and are called upon to comment on the child care capabilities of ordinary folk.
It is quite clear to many of us that they are deficient in this area. So what are you going to do to ensure that the McCanns behaviour is not taken as precedent and seen as being supported? Nothing - am I right?

It is very easy to do, to accept things as true if they fit in with your perspective of a subject. But if people are truly interested in finding out the truth and gain justice for Madeleine, they have to be critical in evaluating all the information that comes forth, not just what disagrees with their point of view.
It harms an objective to be careless and casual about truth. If Tony’s list is inaccurate, in a way, it will reflect on others support him and who doubt the McCanns’ veracity and are suspicious of them and speak out with their concerns. It will hurt the argument and provide ammunition to those who are on the opposing side, including the McCann team themselves, to point out those errors/misrepresentations and thereby try to discredit everything that that person or organization is saying/writing about the case.

Orange…bad luck.
If its a white livebox you have….I went to see my mum in France two weeks ago, she has the same problem. Apparently Orange sent out all their liveboxes, and one by one have been exchanging them. All Orange France shops carry a stock specifically for people with faulty old ones……all you need to do it call orange, get a return code and pop it back to the store…in France that is
annoying.

I have never commented either way on the TB list (simply didnt feel the need!) but I would do so if one of the people who defend the alleged parents post a list of points in defence of stranger abduction so we could actually see what it is they are claiming occurred.
I would also like to point out that TB is not ‘anti-McCann’ but anti-child neglect and those supporting the parents but omitting to defend the child are effectively anti-proper child care, in my opinion.

David Canter (criminal psychologist, one of the team on “Dispatches”) I think says discount that Maddy wandered off, discount an organised ring, so if you discount the cadaver dogs you are left with abduction from the flat by a local. He says the alleyways etc make the perfect “rat run” and Maddy was in the wrong place at the right time.
But I have difficulty discounting the cadaver dogs - was that all made up, or are the dogs and their “evidence” just unreliable?

I like what you are doing. Thorough and honest. I admire you for it.
It doesn’t change my feeling that the PJ probably have strong reasons to investigate some more on the case, and to doubt the abduction scenario, but it is also my hope, and my belief, the PJ will not put forward any unsubstantiated reasons. If we want to talk about the case, we can’t pass for evidence what is only hearsay.
The spin from the PR is so obvious that it raises doubt on his credibility. This should make us be all the more conscious of the need to be demanding on ourselves as regards accuracy. I am glad I have found Anorak to voice my doubts, and hatred of xenophobia, but I don’t believe in assumptions turned into truths.

If anyone posts a comment on this site which appears to be supportive of the McCanns, their arguements are immediately challenged and tested by other contributors to Opinions.
Strangely, when T.Bennet (an anti-McCann) posted a lengthy list of purported ‘facts’ his comment did not attract the same kind of rigorous analysis? T.Bennett may very well be proved right (eventually), but he does his cause no good by being sloppy in his preparation/presentation of his case. You are right to point out the weaknesses in his list of 21 facts whereas others were content to accept these as ‘truth’ - perhaps because it fitted with their own perspective?

Apparently the press are all over these sites and they did not pick up on the dutch sighting until today? It was mentioned yesterday by loads of posters…must have had their eyes closed yesterday!
I got spooked out reading all about the barn, towel and the phone triangulation, it made me have goosebumps. What do you think?
