Naming and shaming is not bullying.
Obviously an assertive clear and concise post which cannot be easily dismantled will attract cries of ‘bully’ as a distraction and we all know how good McCanns and their ilk are at that tactic!
As I have said before, perhaps some of the more unpleasant posters require a more forceful approach (sledgehammer and amusedbystander are defiantely bullies - so I wouldnt feel too bad at being accused of bullying them!).

You’re right–I had just looked it up myself after Chatelaine came through telling us it was not O’Brien. Can you find an article that says Oldfield listened at the bedroom door? I haven’t found one yet.

There’s only one person who could have been the abductor to fit into timings of the 3rd & that person is Gerry.

Surely it was the bedroom door. He certainly wouldnt hear much from outside the patio door!

He didn’t listen at any door did he!!!!!
Mrs Webster said they were all responsible for their own children that night, so when did Mr/Mrs Payne/Mrs Webster check their kids then ?
They didn’t did they!

No, the latest reports are that she was in her apartment when she heard Kate’s cries after Kate’s 10 pm check on Apt 5A.
I will see if I can find an article to give you a link to.

And if the opinion re. this case was limited to a general (public) charge of child neglect, perhapsI could be tempted to agree with you. (Legally, there would likely be a different case…)
But, it is not.
There are so many charges of many crimes of serious skullduggery on the part of the McCanns.
But if I agree with your point for a minute, and say that the child neglect charge is true;
A - Child Neglect
Does not equal
B- Murder and covering up of her death
C-Accidental death and covering up of her death (at whatever time)
UNTIL there is another (true) premise that makes
A+(premise) =B OR C
…..MY moral compass is pointing to the rejection of the B or C, rather than simply the acceptance of A.
It seems that the legal case for A is being pursued in any case, so you may soon feel vindicated. IMO, many people who feel so disgusted re their belief in A, are more than willing to believe B or C, simply due to their disgust re. A

Well I dont agree with them not being worriers. You’ve got to remember that the shutters being open was not the only reason Kate panicked. Her daughter was gone. People react differently. Some fear the worst and some dont. However, I dont feel kates reactions were unbelievable. I think understandable.

Or was it the front door? Or didnt he actually listen anywhere?
Why were all the friends checking their own and the McCanns kids but the McCanns barely checked their own (Gerry just the once, Kate not until ‘about ten’).
One point, Kate doesnt like publicity and gives me the impression that she doesnt like crowds or groups - a nervous private person we are told (apart from when pissed up!).
Would she have been hysterical enough to shout across from the balcony and risk making herself look a total idiot as Tanner emerged from her room leading Madeleine by the hand? I suspect she would have knocked on Tanners door - she knew Tanner had left to check her won child - surely also Kate might have been concerned at Tanners sick child and worried in case Madeleine was sick too and was being tended with Tanners child?
As a doctor, would she really have ascended to hysteria so swiftly?

Its true they dont act like normal people, but my reaction would be to assume the most likely first - dont forget the window open and shutter open is ‘alleged’ - we dont know and the facts seem to have a life of their own in that area!
If we assume, for the sake of argument, that the window and shutter was open, she wouldnt have seen that from the childrens room anyway. She said that Madeleine didnt gt out of bed herself, so she’d have surely assumed Tanner or one of the otehr checkers had madeleine in their room before the most unlikely option of stranger abduction occurred to her?
However, lets go back to the shutters making a noise and the reason for opening the shutters and window - why do that?

By many people’s standards, including mine, you do employ bullying techniques in your posts at times. The list of shame is one good example of that.

We dont know if they were up or not. Kate claimed they were and hence her reasonable suspicion that she had been snatched. So if true, then her claims carry some weight.
I’ve said before that I reckon this abductor was in the apartment when Gerry made his visit. This person made a hasty get away (with Madeliene). At least with the window he could lay Madeliene down on the bed below the window clambered out and reached in for her. Opening the door with her in his arms might be a bit awkward.

The McCanns have said they were entering through the unlocked patio door to check on their children, so as not to disturb them by using the lock and key to enter through the front door.
Has it been said that the other families entered through their patio doors, too, or are we just assuming that they were? Perhaps Tanner went into her apartment through the front door when she returned home and did not pass by the window.
I don’t know. There may have been reports printed one way or the other. Do you know?

Bullying? I have never nor would ever bully, please define ‘bullying’ so I can confirm or admit! I do get bullied a lot here though (sledgehammer (AKA Gandalf, spelling corrected, Amusedbystander - all ‘gang up’ - classic bullying tactics!).
Mind you, bullying those who support the McCanns may actually be acceptable!
DO you want to be removed from the lsit, its very easy to apply!

An open window/shutter would put more doubt/worry into my mind. Although I’m guessing they were not the worrying kind because you’ve got to be pretty laid back to leave the 3 year old in charge when you go out on the piss.
Anyway if all these adult checks were taking place I’d just think/hope the previous checker had decided to let a breeze in.Or I’d think I’d got the wrong end of the stick and missed a change in the babysitting arrangements.I’d think a lot of things before allowing an abduction panic to overcome me.

Were the shutters up? Was the window open?
If they were, why - why open the shutter and the window when there was a perfectly useable door?
But again - were they? Tanner didnt see them open yet she allegedly had just seen a person carrying a child and then continued up the road and left, past the very window (as we have discussed previously).
Another point, by the way, did O’Brien - alleged to have listened at the door - listen at the front door or the back patio (unlocked) door?
