I admit I do lack compassion for the parents - I don’t like the P.R. - it takes my mind off the case and makes me think about them and all the things they say and do that I either don’t understand or think is shoddy.
The PJs would have to suspect the McCanns enough to at least rule them out - after all it is possible that they did it and I don’t think it’s stopping Madeleine being found because I don’t think there’s any evidence even hinting at where she is.
As for coming up with wild scenarios - that’s a good thing as long as the person knows it’s only a scenario and would have to proved.

You have compassion for their class status.Thats all.
IF they really had wanted to find Madeleine in the very first days they would have answered thruthfully and totally the PJ”s questions.
Instead they were made arguidos and I agree:this was precipitated….
Instead they legged it as soon as they possibly could.
Instead of looking for the child effectively they saty on their asses playing “highness” in their rothey castle damaging people around the freaking world.
