Says Melissa: “My friend and I had music playing loudly out of our mobile phones and this little girl was dancing to it. It was only when I looked closely at her I realised it was Madeleine. She had a very thin face and her blonde hair had been cut much shorter, down to her jaw. But it was her”
Why so certain?
“I looked in her eye because I’d seen on TV that Madeleine’s got a defect in her right iris and I saw this girl had it. I could hardly believe my eyes but I knew for sure it was Madeleine. I called out her name and she looked up at me - she obviously recognised it”
Obviously. Dancing with a small child and then you shout out a name and she looks at you…
“But when I called out ‘Madeleine’ the man she was with got worried and started dragging her away from the queue”
The man with Madeleine is described as a “dark-skinned man, who was possibly Algerian”. Blonde girl with dark-skinned man. Like her?
What did Melissa do when he was spotted, this swarthy man?
“As he dragged the girl away he threw a white coat over her and pulled a woollen hat from his pocket and jammed it on her head. Melissa adds: ‘He didn’t say a word but as they got to the door he prodded the girl in the back. I tried to take pictures on my phone but I only got one and it was all blurred. I ran outside after them but they’d vanished”

Hi Brandon Flours,
Nor I don’t read it that way, I just think its the way he expresses himself.
For an educated man, and a hear consultant, he is extremely inarticulate, almost as though English is not his first language.
He is obviously unfamiliar with any foreign language, and I think in his blogs he was trying too hard to justify the days for him and Kate. He never seemed to grasp the concept that writing a blog when you’ve just carelessly lost a child is not quite “infra dig”.
And I guess that they rather enjoyed the attention.
However, having said all that I do believe - we’ve discussed this before you and I - that there is a very good chance that Madeleine is home. How and when is a moot point for me, but I cannot imagine that Kate would not want her somewhere close, given the chance and the choice.

I am afraid you may be right with the last sentence but hopefully with the coverage that this has it might deter others, my biggest worry is that nothing has been learned from this incident,
lots more children have gone missing since including another child missing in Dewsbury.
We need a proper investigation with effective deterents for the genuine abductions!

re Tont Bennet - Im sorry if some of you dont back him, Im sorry if I am naive in doing so, but, people keep having a pop at him for the list he has compiled, so what if some things on it are not totally accurate. People should take the time to research it all for themselves. Come on, are you saying everything in the press is accurate? I think not! Do you believe everything the McCanns or Clarence are saying? I think not! So what if people dont agree with the age set in the law he wants passed. All this man is doing is trying to get some protection for children. HE is actually doing something about it, whereas most of the people who have a pop at him are NOT! If you want to try to stop him, its your choice, if you want to badmouth him in forums, its your choice. Even if he fails, at least he tried!!

We spent the day in Rabat meeting 3 child welfare groups, the minister for interior and the chief of police. We had little knowledge of Morocco before coming here and have learned what a family orientated and child loving society it is. Everyone has been incredibly sympathetic and said they will do everything to help us find Madeleine. As well as the meetings there was a very touching experience outside the National Observatory for Chidren’s Rights. As we pulled up in the car there were about 150 children waving posters of Madeleine with the words above and below a picture of her:
?All Moroccan Children Are With You Madeleine- Madeleine: Back Home?. They were singing and cheering Madeleine’s name and shouting ?coeur?, Heart. This whole experience was uplifting and enlightening at the same time in that we had no concept that so many children in Morocco would know of Madeleine and also be internet- friendly. It is just as likely that a child will spot Madeleine and alert a responsible adult. The whole world really has changed and is a lot smaller in this computer age. If Madeleine is in Morocco we have no doubt that she will be found.
We did a couple of interviews for ITV and Sky and followed up our Newspaper interviews focussing on a change in the phase of the campaign. We confirmed that there will be a period of reflection before we decide on what is the best role for Kate and I. The campaign and the search for Madeleine will continue and with everyone’s help we will find her. So please stay with us.

Re Madeleine sightings…………
If Madeleine was sighted (which won’t happen because she’s Dead) IMO
the first anybody would know about it would be that she had been returned to her family. Because the authorities would place a bar on reporters whilst this happened, so all of these so called sightings have to be total and utter B@ll@x
