while I agree they’re nuts, I would think in a so-called democracy I would be able to access their website, obviously in ‘the land of the free’ democracy only goes as far as the government wishes.

I just watched a Louis Theroux program about them(I’m a UK girl), I want to go to hell if it means I won’t go to their heaven! I am shocked and sickened by what I heard. They are so close minded and it makes me cry that they can be so cruel.
God Bless all those who oppose them, and I wanna tell them to leave the Jews alone. (I’m Christian and have some very good friends who are Jews) their religion has been through enough, lay off!
I also know A LOT of Muslims who are amazing people.
I pray to MY God, (not theirs) that these people do not spread their message to anyone else.

Why dont we hire a couple of chavs to firebomb their church in the middle of the night surely they will think it is gods wrath. if that fails invite them to the uk and let them stand in the middle of Glasgow or even better bring them to Brighton. They should be shot the lot of them. or we could wait until one of them dies (wont be too long i hope!) and picket their funeral im sure if we invited everybody then the whole state will be there to call them fags and swedish. Personally i think even God or The D (if they actually exist) would ba ashamed.

I have been aware of these nutcases for some time now, I agree that Fred protests a bit too much I think grandaddy Phelps must have made him his special little boy if you get my drift. As an atheist I don’t care if god hates me because if you don’t believe in heaven you don’t believe in hell either. Landlocked Kansas is the only place in the world where these nutjobs can come from as they have most likely never been out of their country. I have no problem with anyone who feels a need to believe in a supernatural diety of anykind, my own belief is that we are all Homo-sapiens (oops I said homo, wait for the lightning bolt!) and that we should all be able to get on together in this world of ours, gay, straight, black, white yellow or any combination of the lot, we all breath the same air so let’s get on with it shall we.
BTW I have just had a look on the WBC site and apparrently Presedent Elect Obama is the anti-christ, guess he don’t care for niggers much either then! ye ha rednecks see you in the next emanation

I recently discovered this tid-bit of info on the phelps which answers why THEY hate fags and are merely hiring god as a company cop. Surely they are commiting some sort of sin with this? I have mailed them to find out but will no doubt be called a fag enabling liar!

Its not only the Phelps on the internet though, I recently flagged videos on a channel called revivalisneeded which has another religious evangelical nut up to allsorts of lunacy including burning an effigy of St Francis of Assisi ( or A Sissy as he put it!) and wandering round a catholic mass shouting like a madman ( he hates most other people too!).
I mean, these people are killing god off quicker than the new atom blaster!

I was glad to here at they didn’t get to picket at Heath Ledger’s (RIP! love him! not in that way..) funeral. I had heard of them before and watched ‘America’s most hated family’ and, being ‘fag’ as they would put it, was sicken by what they were saying.
I am not religious, but respect other peoples beliefs.(apart from their cult!)
I also watched a re-run of the Jeremy Kyle Show, anyone notice the slightly insane smile they all had?
I hope the three(?) people that left the cult of 71 members were not harassed by their family to much. GOOD ON ‘EM! I say, at least we know that some people from that family are in the right state of mind.
My theory for this all, is a traumatic childhood experience that cause him to lose his mind and hate everyone.

I would love to go for a beer or two with him; if anything, he is interesting, and would love to find out what exact event in his life started him hating everything. How can you hate Sweden of all places, Sweden provided the world with leggy blondes, Swedish vodka, Ikea, Swedish Meatballs and saunas!!! - actually, I wonder if any of the Phelps’ congregation own any Ikea furniture…….
On another note, if God is punishing the world for it’s wrong doings by killing some coal miners in America, he really should get a hobby or update us, because I am sure I heard somewhere that he was the forgiving type.

The mother should be locked up in a psychiatric hospital………. one daughter was equally manic but the other looked drugged up.

I personally think that they are quite refreshing (bear with me on this!….) in the sense that they are a lovely example of freedom of speech, and how it clearly can go completely manically wrong.
As a Mancunian, there is a lot of rivalry between Mancs and Scousers. The Holy Spirit hasn’t told me to stand outside a random Scouse funeral, saying I am glad that they are dead as it is God’s will as they are scouse!!!
Basically, they are all crackpots, who to be fair are either the most nuts or fearless people I have had the pleasure of coming acoss on the Internet. Lets face it, standing outside the funeral of an American Marine with placards telling the mourners that he deserved to die…if anything they are courageous!
Fortunately, their membership is about 75, most of whom are over 50, so are likely to die soon, so we can always look at them as being silly OAP’s who have got so bitter and to the age where they can say what they want, when they want and get away with it as they are old.
I do however think that the Rev. Phelp’s MAY have a bit of an obsession with being Gay, personally, I think he protests a little too much about it all. He needs a good night out down the Gay Village in Manchester, you never know he may like it. I know I am straight and I always end up having a cracking night, and if he can’t pull, there is a gay sauna which he can visit and put in his sermons!

Today I saw the same repeat of the Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV2 here in England. If these inbred mutants weren’t so full of irrational hatred for everyone, they would actually be hilariously funny.
It’s now hours after I watched the show, and I still can’t decide whether they need help, need sectioning, or maybe just need to be put down!!

I just watched a repeat of The Jeremy Kyle show ( a talk show over here in England). I think it was originally aired in June 2007. I have heard of the WBC before, and I just can’t believe anyone could be like that. It was Shirley Phelps-Roper and two of her daughters shouting their ‘beliefs’ via a satelitte interview. They were out shouting Jeremy Kyle and that doesn’t happen often. He is known for shouting at his guests if he doesn’t agree with them.
I am in shock that people can be like that. Basically everyone that is not part of their cult is going to hell. See you all there then!

When I heard the news about the wanting to picket Heath Ledger’s funeral, I wrote them a sweet little message on their bulletin board. I can’t imagine it was published (I haven’t checked because I don’t want to give them the pleasure of me visiting their site twice.) This is some of the content in my message to them:
“There is no place in heaven for narrow-minded hate-mongers such as you! What an audacity for you to count on God’s love. As you yourselves point out: “God Loves Everyone - the Greatest Lie Ever Told”. A human beeing must prove him- or herself worthy of God’s love: and with every breath you take, every move you make, you are moving further and further away from GOD’s love and towards eternal condemnation. [---]
I want to finish with a statement: I am Swedish and I am immensely proud that the amoebas of your congregation has singled out Sweden as one of the places that your god hates. That fact convinces me even more that Sweden is on the right track! May you all be haunted with nightmares of big, blond, beautiful, sweaty, naked Swedish gay guys in Brokeback Mountain cowboy hats

It would be easy to let go if they weren’t sh***ing in the faces of grieving families.
Shirley has an eerie zombie-like appearance, and her children have that same vacant brainwashed gaze in their eyes as well.
After viewing Keith Allen’s video on youtube, I noticed that Shirley made a few contradictory comments. First, it was brought up that Shirley has an illegitimate son. Shirley feels that since Jesus died on the cross for her sins and she will not be going to hell. I’m confused. Did Jesus die on the cross for Shirley alone or for ALL sinners?
Also, she claims that Mr. Allen made a cheap shot at her son and said that it wasn’t his fault that he was born out of wedlock. Hellooooo cheap shot!
What is she doing to these dead soldier’s parents? She claims that the parents raise these soldiers for the devil. Did she raise Sam for the devil because he was born out of wedlock? Did Fred Phelp’s raise his children that left the church for the devil as well?
What they do not understand in their sheltered little world in the middle of nowhere is that there are many different religions in the world. Some claim to be older than Christianity. These fools become lawyers, yet they do not give people the right to practice whatever religion they choose. They are not only pushing their religion and beliefs on people by force, they are tormenting victim’s families. I think they are also harming themselves by showing that THE LORD THEIR God (not mine) is a hateful, vengeful soul, as bad as the devil himself.

Are they hypocrites? Shirley (the ringleader) has an illegitimate son named Sam Phelps-Roper. They also preach that America is doomed because they support a country that enables “fags.” Doesn’t this church pay taxes to the American government? Don’t they use our laws, schools, and roads?
Because they are tax-paying citizens, I guess that would mean that they are supporting a nation that enables “fags,” so they too will be going to hell.
