Is Madeleine McCann Disappearing From The UK Press?
THE Anorak has been watching the media’s treatment of the Madeleine McCann story for some months.
The tragedy of a missing child was turned into a media feeding frenzy, a grim story with any gaps in the narrative plugged with speculation and voyeurism.
We were invited to become sleuths, armchair detectives working out who had done what and how. Nothing meaningful has been achieved by this. Madeleine McCann is missing.
Who cannot feel for those involved? Who would want to be them?
Now Anorak learns from a reader that the Madeleine McCann story may be disappearing from the British press, and newspapers’ websites.
Anorak’s team of moderators seeks to weed out libellous comments and anyone making accusations against individuals they cannot back up. We seek not to mirror the press but show you how the story is presented by media outlets to their audiences. Now read this:

Madeleine McCann is vanishing from the British Press
Every single story in the Daily Express and in the Daily Star regarding Madeleine McCann has disappeared.
This was the answer given by the Daily Express’ online editor, Geoff Marsh:
“Hi xxx, Many thanks for your email. For operational reasons, some articles previously available on express.co.UK have been temporarily removed. I’m afraid I can’t go into any more detail. Best wishes, Geoff”
And from the web team of Daily Express:
“Hi xxx
Many thanks for your email - and indeed your continued support as a regular reader.
I assure you, we do value you - and your input.
Daily Express
Due to operational reasons, a number of stories which previously appeared on express.co.uk have been made temporarily unavailable.Apologies if this causes any inconvenience or disrupts your use of our website.
I’m afraid I can’t go into any more detail.
However I would like to emphasise once again that we value your readership - and are grateful for your ongoing support of express.co.uk.
Best wishes
The Web Team”

Marie - I could - sort of - at a push perhaps believe this ‘rubbish’ if it were the first night of the holiday. But are they trying to tell us that this had been their system for 6 nights???
If it were my friends, after about half an hour of this chaos someone would suggest that we pile all the kids in together and take turns sitting with them?? or some other logical arrangement..
They are suggesting that on their last night one of their ‘friends’ finally says to them at around 9.30 pm , ‘are come on i’m checking on mine now - you just stay here and i’ll check on yours while i’m up.’

But who knows, we’ve waited nearly a year so a little longer will be fine as long as the mcfools get their just deserts I dont mind if it takes another year….

I got exactly the same feeling as you about that dinner party, with people from the party coming and going all the time. It also seems that many phone calls took place during the dinner. G. meeting a friend and having a long conversation with him in the street instead of coming back straight away after checking on his children.
It seems crazy : what they were doing they weren’t really doing. The friend who checked on the MCs children listened to the door, but didn’t really check. They were having a party, but weren’t really eating together.

I wasn’t being sarcastic - it was on here because of you days before it hit the main press. Thanks for that.

Thank you too, DCB.
I’ve been virtually hurt & do want to get out of this; something which has been intriguing me for such a long time, which will be on my mind till “we” have the answer. But the desire to share my thoughts here has gone.

Val - am not into the great big conspiracy theory, but we do know that team mcc has retained the services of ‘mega hitting’ lawyers, excellent PR advisors (allegedly), and some web based intelligence companies. So I’m pretty sure that the tapas 9/10 must have had help ‘preparing’ themselves for further questioning. IMO.
Or do you think all their paid experts respond to them by saying, really I can’t listen to this, it is unprofessional of me and unlawful of you to ammend your stories in order to influence the outcome of the investigation??
Re the rogatory letters - I’m sure someone posted a link from portugal last week saying that the british government had accepted them (2nd time round) through political channels and had passed them on to leicestershire police to act on. Can’t remember who posted it
sorry

Iv”e posted to Noseycow some interesting, well I think so, info. The person who posted these has proved to be quite accurate before now and has a” friend” in the know.
Wonder why the Press reporting, if you can call it that, is being “stifled”. Either
the PJ has complained Officially, or “the more money than the Fund” reference
in one of the posts is significant. IMO of course.

Good evening “all”.
I finally had the time to glance through the major part of yesterday’s and today’s posts [3 threads, zjeesh], with a special thanks to Fair & Totje. It’s a completely new experience to me, I must say and I do wish you both good luck & “all” here much pleasure with these two characters.
I don’t know them, and they definitely don’t know me
I’ll be lurking occasionally to read the more intelligent posts.
I do miss so many of the posters of some months ago.
Happy sleuthing.
And fun, fun, fun [bye âde. thank you for the music ...]

Jolie - thanks for your links - having looked at them all i’m soooo bloody confused. It looks like there was one and perhaps two (differing versions) periods of about 5 minutes each when the whole party were actually sitting at the table - enjoying dinner.
With their (alleged) collective intelligence don’t you think that perhaps they could have arranged things better than that by the last night of their holiday???
Or have we finally found where to place the blame for the current state of the nhs???
