Bank Drops Piggybanks For Fear Of Offending Muslims
AS is often the way, this is the non-Muslim fearing the fear in the Muslim: “Knorbert the piglet has been dropped as the mascot of Fortis Bank after it decided to stop giving piggy banks to children for fear of offending Muslims.”
And:
A spokesman told the Dutch media that “Knorbert does not meet the requirements that the multicultural society imposes on us”. The bank added that there had been “a number of reactions to the pig” and that a new gift and character were being developed that would be “fun for children of any persuasion”.
Fun in banking. When will the madness end..?

I agree. This whole movement of “not doing X or Y because it offends Muslems” is a long term strategy of racism and xenophobia. You will find you can never actually discover who the person was who actually made the decision, or gave the instruction. It is all far more subtle than that, and the people involved do not realise that they are being used in this way.
In Police training we used to have all the usual Multicultural diversity lectures, which included the one about Ramadan and Eid, and the necessity of seeing a moon to establish the exact date, and the other one about Moslems praying 5 times a day.
I used to wait and then ask how Easter was calculated, and how many times a day Christians were supposed to pray.
I never found a lecturer who could answer correctly.
But they had no idea that they were actually peddling racist hatred.

These idiot restrictions can be done for no other reason than to cause the indigenous population to feel resentment towards Muslims, when they have not expressed an objection.
It is similar to banning traditional symbols of Christianity in government offices, and probably elsewhere, for fear of offending those of a different religion, when there has not been any offence taken.
It’s EVIL under the guise of being considerate.
