Shannon Matthews, Madeleine McCann And Haut De La Garenne
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
EVENING STANDARD: “MAN HELPING IN SEARCH SHANNON MATTHEWS ‘CRUCIFIED’ JUST YARDS FROM MISSING GIRL’S HOME”
A man helping in the search for missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews is believed to have been crucified outside his house just yards from the nine-year-old’s family home.
Police are investigating the alleged assault of a 43-year-old man who neighbours claim was nailed to a wooden cross through his hands on Sunday night, and some locals claim the attack is related to the hunt for the missing girl.
And the McCanns?
Meanwhile, the McCanns, whose daughter Madeleine disappeared from their holiday apartment in the Algarve last May, have pledged their support to Shannon’s parents.
Writing in his personal online blog, Gerry McCann, said he and his wife Kate were praying for her safe return.
“No matter what has happened to Shannon, there is no doubt she is extremely vulnerable,” he added. “We hope she is found safe and well soon and returned to her family.”
Will the McCanns be called upon to comment on every missing child?
YORKSHIRE POST: “Agencies face abuse inquiry in wake of body find”
Police are searching a former children’s home Haut de la Garenne where they discovered a child’s skull. Police are now searching six more sites at the building now used as a youth hostel.
Police are using Eddie, who works with South Yorkshire Police as an “enhanced victim recovery dog”.
Eddie is said to have picked up traces of missing Madeleine McCann in the back of a car which her parents hired five weeks after she disappeared.

“Eddie’s triumph looks bad for Kate and Gerry.”
Why?
Imagine you were Eddie, and you would find a place that smells a bit suspicious, but you are not quite sure about it. If you could talk, you would say something to the amount of “I’m not quite sure, but maybe this place is worth a closer examination.”
But since the dog can’t talk, it has only the choice to alert on it or not. And, in order to find corpses if there are any, the right strategy would be to alert when in doubt.
This has happened in Jersey. The dog had allegedly alerted on up to eight places. So far, one corpse has been found, and the other places are being investigated. It remains to be seen whether in all theses places remains will be found.
In the Madeleine case, the dogs have found something, allegedly traces of blood, and these traces are part of the evidence. It remains to be seen what can be proven by these traces.

Eddie’s triumph looks bad for Kate and Gerry.
But I don’t think anyone has seen Madeleine. It’s unlikely that she’s alive, nevermind being driven about Europe by swarthy men, gypsies, Muslims, and the occasional blonde woman.
—————————————-
I am just waiting for a “sighting” of Madeleine in Brighton as my Granddaughter , aged 3 1/2 , is the image of her. Should I be mad enough to send photos of her to the papers or TV, as some people have done with their daughters, Granddaughters, Aunt’s Cousin’s Brother’s daughters and so on, then it would be startlingly obvious but No: 1 Son ( her father ) is neither swarthy, a gypsy, a Muslim ( lapsed C of E I think ) or an “occasional blonde woman” ( as far as I am aware anyway but who knows what he gets up to in his spare time ??? ) and - as I have said before, stand at the doorway of any Supermarket on any busy Saturday, and you will see enough Madeleines to satisfy the most ardent of voyeurs.
She will come to light, eventually……

I am interested in the fact that somebody who worked for the DPP is sure that he has seen MMcC in Dorset.
And he is obviously a very credible witness. Not some drunk or scatty nanny. Not just Anybody. A Somebody. Thank God that Jes Wilkins is a Somebody as well though - just to keep everything on an even keel. To keep the debate alive and to keep the PJ on their toes.
I notice that Eddie the Springer Spaniel is back in the news. Eddie is the dog who sniffed blood in Portugal but was pooh-poohed!
However, Eddie is also the dog who has discovered human remains in Jersey. The remains were buried beneath seven inches of concrete! What a clever dog. What a very credible witness.
I wonder what CM thinks about Eddie this week? Which of the Clan will be discrediting Eddie now? I don’t want to see pages of bollocks about how crap Eddie is ever again. Eddie and Keel rock! Bravo! Clever boy.

I hope Shannon Matthews’ step-Dad hasn’t been reading - I think one or two of our musings have been a bit near the knuckle.
(my computer is on the blink again - all my fav. websites have been wiped from the history and no sites remember me. There are some sites I can’t even remember!!! Not this one though, I’d always remember Anorak.

Night, Noseycow.
Don’t worry about aftershocks. I don’t think they are perceptible on such a ’small’ eathquake.
