Madeleine McCann In A Taxi ‘With Murat’, Denied And Shannon Matthews
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
THE SUN: “Maddie & Murat ‘in a cab’”
Portuguese taxi driver claims Madeleine McCann was in his cab the night she vanished — with Robert Murat. “Antonio Cardoso, 67, insisted he took the little girl and four adults on a short journey to a hotel where they all switched to a Jeep with foreign plates.”
Says he:
“I later recognised him on television. I am sure it was him…She was awake but silent. She was just staring ahead with big owlish eyes. I noticed her eye because my son was born with a defect much the same. I saw her kind of twist her chin a few times in my rear-view mirror. I remember she was in pink pyjamas and wondered why they hadn’t dressed her.”
Says McCann spokesman Clarence Mitchell: “We are dismissing this primarily because the timings are entirely wrong.”
IRISH EXAMINER: “Taxi driver claims he picked up Madeleine”
Antonio Castela, 67, said he dropped off the missing girl and her English-speaking mystery companions at an Algarve hotel and watched them drive off in a blue jeep. He insisted he was “100% sure” his passengers included Madeleine.
The McCanns and Robert Murat — the third official suspect in the Madeleine McCann case — all deny wrongdoing”
Kate Mccann is a “GP” Kate and husband Gerry a “heart specialist”
TIMES: “Forget Happy Meals, let’s focus on happy families”
Sandra Parsons looks at “The greatest gift of all”:
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday, and those of us lucky enough to have children can expect to be given cards and flowers. But with Madeleine McCann and the schoolgirl Shannon Matthews still missing, Milly Dowler’s stricken parents making a heartrending appeal for information about their daughter’s murder, and the reminders again of the brutal killing of young women by Steve Wright and Levi Bellfield, I rather think it should be the other way round.
DAILY MIRROR: “Mother vows never to give up in the search for missing Shannon Matthews”
Shannon Matthews’s mum yesterday said she would never stop searching for her daughter. Karen, 32, fighting back tears, said: “We will never give up on her. It is more than a week and we are desperate to have Shannon back. Our message to people is never give up because we won’t”
Adding:
“We’ve shed a lot of tears. “It was really emotional seeing people walking through the streets with us to support our family. I was overwhelmed by the turnout. Now we just want Shannon found. We just pray she will be found safe.
YORKSHIRE POST: “Police quiz 1,500 drivers in hunt for missing Shannon”
A reward. Like Madeleine:
As the investigation enters its second week, Joseph Furniture, based in Bradley, Huddersfield, has put up a £5,000 reward for any information that leads to Shannon’s safe return.
In a statement the firm said: “As a company that was founded in Dewsbury and a former employer of Shannon’s uncle, Neil Hyett, we feel a social and moral responsibility to aid with reuniting Shannon Matthews with her beloved family.”
DAILY STAR: “SHANNON HUNT AT MUM’S ‘DIGS’ - HOME OF FAMILY FRIEND SCOURED”
The house where missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews’ mum is staying was searched by police yesterday. Officers with sniffer dogs trained to find human remains were sent in to track down clues to the nine-year-old’s disappearance.
The house in Dewsbury, West Yorks, belongs to family friend Peter “Scouser” Brown, 34, who lives just a few doors from Shannon’s mum Karen and her boyfriend Craig Meehan, 22.
Shannons’ parents are not doctors. There is no media feeeding frenzy.

I just wonder why the team have made comments on every child dissapearance (Jeremy, Mari Luz, Shannon…) and never said a word regarding poor Baby Grace (neither before or after knowing the girl’s identity) Maybe BG’s story is too similar to Madeleine’s

Gerry showed the most common body language response to being asked an awkward question and answering in a way which did not lead to use being aware of the truth of the matter.
If you can watch that video and not smile or doubt what he is saying, you are totally indoctrinated and a lost cause!

Yes, it is interesting. It indicates more complications.
As for sedatives, I must admit that initially, I thought Madeleine had died from an overdose of them. But then, I wondered…..
There is no doubt that the twins were drugged the night of May 3. And the other child who was vomiting may also have been drugged. But I think this drugging was POST Madeleine being killed. They needed to drug the children in order to have complete quiet and concentration, scrub the apartment down, gather their wits about them, concoct their story, leave the door open so that they could claim an evil abductor had entered….
You know, it is a pity Ben Afleck didn’t screen “Gone, Baby, Gone” in Britain. But the BOOK, from which the movie was taken, has been out a while now. The McCanns could have easily have read such a book.
They also needed to drug the children so that they could move Madeleine’s dead body about. They did not want their children to see their dead sister. While most “repressed” memories are false, not all are. There’s quite a famous case in the States where a daughter, almost 20 years later, implicated her father in killing her sister. A child as young as the twins wouldn’t understand why Madeleine wasn’t moving, but if they saw her dead, they’d have that memory for sure. Eventually, years later, they might put things together.
And in the book, the mother of the missing child left her door open….

Its when they go to prison that their real punishment begins. From other inmates.

Hi Nosey
How is your ‘’surrounding” area today? Nudge nudge, wink wink! All quiet on the western front?

Well if the taxi man wanted to make up a story to get his face in the papers etc he wouldn’t have said 8.10. He would have built the story around the media reports.
Interesting he says his son is a policeman.
Weird!

One P is one thing but how do they find another?
Surely it doesnt just slip into conversation?
What is their form of communication?

Studying Law, Garth, is not the same as studying ‘to be a solicitor’. Anyway, I’m not ashamed at starting on a new venture ‘at my age’!!
I’m not quite sure why you think theres anything wrong with it.
I am interested in knowing why someone like yourself is so pro-McCann - to the exclusion of any theory except the most unlikely one, that of stranger abduction.
The fact that you hail from somewhere which is not unlinked to this affair, that your dad is who he is and the Common Purpose connection - these things are much more interesting to me than your view of a middle aged chap taking up law!

Paedos, like murderers, are able to behave in their vile ways because they are like everyone else in being someone’s son/daughter, father/mother, brother/sister, husband/wife, employee/employer, neighbour etc.
It is their very apparent ‘ordinaryness’ that is their shield.

There were drugs used in Jersey for much more sinister reasons!
Why did they want none of their bodies to be found?

Yes, Stevo’s work on that photo was brill.
It is these kinds of things that lead me to believe that Madeleine’s life and ultimately, her death, were far from simple. I wish it was as easy as Ocam’s razor. But it clearly isn’t.
Way too much work to avoid prosecution for a purely accidental death.
I’ve seen several accidental deaths of children on vacation with their parents. In each case, the family and parents were allowed to return home without arrest. In each case, there was an inquest but nothing ever happened. Even in one particular case where a teenage girl got sick, and her parents just put her in a bed on the front porch of their rented beach house while they all went out fishing and scuba diving, and after suffering for three days, she was found dead. Apparently, she’d developed a diabetic condition that went undiagnosed, even though both her parents were highly educated professionals (lawyers, not doctors) and could easily have called in a doctor.
Instead, they just told her she probably had influenza. They never called a doctor or brought her to a hospital. They said they were going home in three days’ time anyway, and thought she could wait until they got back to their health care system.
But nothing happened to them. Everyone felt quite sorry for them.

Yes Fair, agreed a ‘P’ is a ‘P’. Their sick minds are the same, no matter what position they hold (although I do agree with Ian that there a lot who hold esteemed positions in society). However, they all have one objective in mind, and they will lie and deceive to get what they want. They worm their way into families, relationships just to get to where they’re going.

inquiries in Ireland this week about a doctor who has been found for the second time to have been looking at child porn sights…..
note bene: a doctor.
Part of this McC thing is that they thought being DOCTORS meant that they would be believed and never queried. Well of course at the start they were, but then woof woof

Sedatives are in the mix somehow - Gerry mentioning them in that video as he drove his car is proof of that - why the hell mention sedatives at that point yet never have the kids tested until 5 months had passed?
There is little doubt that the McCanns are sensitive to the word, the video of the itchy ear is adequate evidence of that - the word made him nervous at the very least. Bearing in mind he is a consultant regarding sports drug testing, his knowledge of the passage of drugs through the body is likely to be good.

Stranger than the famous ‘last photo’ being doctored is the fact that there are so few photos of M on holiday in Portugal - and that it took 10 days to issue the famous ‘pool-side’ one.
Oh I know the ‘the McConns are wonderful’ brigade will come out and say that the family deserve to maintain their privacy and say why should they show the public their private, precious last family shots…etc. etc.
Crap. They have prostituted every other aspect of that little girls life, imho, so why not those photos?
Could it be because they do not exist? In which case….why not? is a very interesting question.
