Madeleine McCann: A Jetski, A Bag And Terrorist Attacks On Israel
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann and Shannon Matthews
DAILY MAIL: “Couple saw bundle taken out to sea near where Madeleine disappeared but police ignored them”
A bundle?
A British couple saw a package being bundled onto a jetski on a beach just six miles from where Madeleine McCann went missing. The tourists had been for a morning swim just nine hours after the little girl disappeared when they spotted the jetski.
A man in a dark wetsuit was riding it, with a 2ft- to 3ft-long black package on the front. He took it to a small “official-looking” grey boat moored just off the coast at Salema.
Man with bag spotted… Read all about it!
The McCanns’s spokesman said they were concerned the Portuguese police had not followed up such a “potentially significant lead”. Really.
GLASGOW DAILY RECORD: “Maddie Jetski Snatch Riddle”
A riddle? A man with a bag on a jet ski? A riddle? Or a man with a bag on a jetski?
CHILD snatchers may have smuggled Madeleine McCann out of Portugal on a jetski within 10 hours of her kidnap. Two new witnesses have emerged saying they saw a man carrying a large bundle on a beach near Praia da Luz the morning after Madeleine vanished.
They said the man sped off on a jetski with the 3ft-long load on his lap and met a small boat offshore.
A boat. Offshore. On the sea. Not on the land…
One witness, a 58-year-old British woman, says: “The man was acting very strange, he was dressed in black and left on a black jetski with a bundle on his lap. The bundle was definitely big enough to hold Madeleine. It could have been her.”
McCann spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “If these people had a sighting which is potentially significant, then clearly our investigators will require this information as a priority.”
THE SUN: “MADDY OFF ‘ON JET SKI’”
Say the Policia Judiciaria: “The Policia Judiciaria have carried out all the pertinent and sensible operation”
ARAB NEWS (Saudi Arabia): “Israel’s Moral Compass Is Flawed”
A propagandist called Linda Heard manages to aliken the disappearance of a missing child with terrorists firing rockets upon Israel and that country’s response:
Ponder on the morality of the media-inspired public response to Madeleine McCann as opposed to Gaza’s maimed and orphaned babies. According to the British newspaper Independent, there were 465 stories about her in the British press, the family received 1.1m pounds in public donations, while a host of celebrities — including Simon Cowell, Sir Richard Branson and J.K. Rowling — offered rewards totaling 2.6m pounds.
To the best of our knowledge, Kate and Gerry McCann have not vowed to push an entire nation of people’s into the sea, fired rockets upon them and used children as a human shield…

Karen, I actually don’t think you know the meaning of assume or assumption, look up the dictionary, especially the part “without proof”

I wonder what the propmccannda will be when they are arrested?
————————————————————————————–
Clarrie can always come out with the fine old expression that the McCs ‘are helping police with their enquiries’.
‘We’ve been dying to help for so many months now. Why on earth did it take you so long to come to Rothley?’
March 4th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Karen’s seven kids had five different dads. Four of the youngsters live with her and boyfriend Craig Meehan, 22 - Tony, 11; Shannon; Cameron, five; and Courtney, two.

If I was taught that life was simple, I wouldn’t be trying so hard to explain objectivity to you.

I suppose it depends what mods are on, if no jokes just say the word, but whatever has happend life will go on, most people out in the big bad world really dont give it much thought, I wonder how many people in the States look at the missing flyers on the milk cartons. Karen thats the trouble with ideas, some are good a lot are bad very bad, if only life was as simple, as the taxpayers money is being used to teach you that it is, a tree is a tree, now why didn’t I think of that.

No, it doesn’t depend on which mod is on, its a matter of decency, we did allow Sunday to run riot on jokes, fine, it should be out of the system. BUT there are other threads and the Forums also where jokes are appropriate, or shall we have a Maddy chat on the footie threads? No, we won’t

So far the only explanation put forward by posters for the disappearance of Shannon is ‘the step-father is a perv’.
Gandolf in particular was outraged that the step-Dad was singled out as a suspect based on him tickling and being 22 and Shannon not wanting to go home.
So I agreed that it was an assumption and not a fact.
But I said in the absence of any other explanations we may as well talk about it till something else came up.
When I said ‘our assumptions’ I meant all those of us who chatting about it. Not you or anyone else who wasn’t talking about it.
Is anyone else going to hassle me about this now?????

I agree. A lot said here has been assumption not fact. They are ideas that we toy/play around with to see if they could be valid.

Given by popular demand we continue the MM saga and the emerging one for Shannon also, who are both children, possibly victims of a paedo, it seems very strange that adult -type jokes are appearing on this thread.
There is a thread in the forums for jokes. Of most acceptable types anyway.
We aren’t prudes, but it seems very offensive that they are being placed here in a childrens thread.
Or shall we stop the MM threads?

Then your ability to function in the world will be severely hampered.
The brain is hard-wired to make assumptions - it’s the only way to deal with all the sensory information that it receives every day.
For instance - when you see a tree, you’re assuming it’s a tree based on the information you’ve already learnt about trees. If you had no assumptions about trees, you wouldn’t remember what trees looked like and every tree in the world would become a separate object with a separate name.
The trouble is you think an assumption is a fact, I think it’s an idea.

Agreed.
I was generalising ?
I’ve seen it more of a snowballing effect as the weeks/months went by.
I just feel differently this time more early on. That’s all.
Hope my feelings are wrong.
March 4th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Karen - I don’t know how to explain it any simpler, you said : ““But based on our assumptions about her Mother’s love life and the appropriateness of her step-father’s tickling games we could make a case for the step-father being guilty.”
1. I have not drawn any conclusions about the Mother’s love life.
2. I have not drawn any conclusions about the step father’s tickling games.
You may have drawn conclusions from the information you have read and can make a case for step father’s guilt - I haven’t, and can’t.
March 4th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Regarding Maddie & Shannon - maybe the Mconns have set a precident and turned “abducted children” into a money making racquet. “Loose” a child, and get rich from donations….

Karen, its easy, as you get older you will learn never to assume , about anything or any one.

Admittedly, few were suspicious in the first few days…but those numbers grew
in the next two weeks….as more odd contradictions became known.
I know I first raised an eyebrow when Dr G P gave his first “prepared”
statement (on the 5th May I think it was).
Didn’t strike me as being completely open about the situation.
