As someone has already noticed,Pam I believe was her name … That picture,the first one is not Patrick Swayze. It does look a whole lot like Kurt Russell..
Smoking !!! Why should he stop now ??? The damage has already been done,if you believe that is actually what caused the cancer. I have known and read about so many people who have never touched a cigarette and get cancer. I am not saying that are not bad for you by know means,but again it’s to late for him ,so let the man do whatever makes him happy… He is not harming anyone,not even himself anymore !!

My mother passed away from Pancreatic cancer in 1993. She smoked for many years and when she was diagnosed with this cancer, she stopped smoking. It wasn’t 8 months later that she passed away. If Patrick Swayze wants to smoke, let him be. I really don’t think it will help either way.

I Lost my mother to the same disease and she never smoked or drank It’s a horrable disease. I sat with my mom and watched her drift away in so much pain.
My heart goes out to him and his family.I know the hell they are going through

First of all the photo that is on the left is not Patrick Swayze, it is Kurt Russell, so whoever posted that should pay more attention. No, smoking is not good, but it is his life that he is hurting and if he feels there is no hope of being cancer free and it makes him happy, it is nobody’s business but his. Leave the poor man alone.

I quit a 60 a day fag habit just over 2 years ago and believe me it really really hard. It took about a year to stop feeling like a smoker and wanting a smoke so I understand his reluctance at spending what is left of his life feeling deprived and craving a cig…its a lose, lose situation for him but maybe a lesson to others?

Far be it from anyone to tell a person how to die…

Thats not what I am saying…..Of coarse if he quits now he won’t get better. All I am saying is that his smoking lead to his cancer, he even admitted to it himself in the Barbara Walter’s interview. Sure it is a shame for him and I really liked him as an actor but he new the consequences’ when he smoked like all smokers. And when health issues play a part then everyone is so shocked. It is a nasty habit and hopfully people will see by his example that smoking is wrong and they should set an example themselves for the young in this country not to smoke!!

Smoking is most likly the reason he has the diease, even patrick admitted to it. It is hard to get anything through to smokers….They have one thinking and non-smokers get bashed because smokers say that non-smokers don’t know what their going though!!

Look…I feel sorry for patrick, but he had a nasty habit and it lead to this diease. If he could of turned the tables back I am pretty sure he would of never smoked!! Hey smokers…now don;t get mad at me now!!! Patrick was into keeping his body fit and I am pretty sure his diet was good so why did he smoke!! Got me….

yes,he smokes big deal,quitting will not help his cancer! my uncle passed away two weeks ago from the same cancer, he quit smoking,didn’t help him any!leave the man alone,it’s nobodys business but his !!!!!

first off that pic is distortd to make him look worse. non-smokers need to put a sock in it. you don’t know what it is like, I am a nursing asst. and watch people die of cancer on a regular basis, how dare any one judge him for what he does. It is his life. remeber the bible, DO NOT JUDGE, LEAST YE BE JUDGED! Pancratic cancer has nothing to do with smoking and only an ignorant person would say so. he has done nothing wrong Grow up and get a life.

When have we as humans become so hard as stone. Where has compassion gone to.
Patrick Swayze is a human being first, when are we going to learn that Americans are suppose to be compassionate. We cannot just hand out food, money and think that is
all there is, we are suppose to hand out love and compassion to help any human being.
As a society we better look at our hearts before we say things that are hurtful. No one
should predict how long he has or commit on his behavior. This man needs our prayers and I intend to do just that and that alone. God bless you Patrick and keep
the faith.

I think it is really sad that even at this horrible time in his life… no one is leaving him alone. I know I would want to die doing the things I love. Like being with my family and smoking what ever I felt like smoking. If you knew you were going to die, would you want a bunch of people bugging you? What a sad world we live in. People really need to start thinking of others. My heart goes out to his friends and family— just think if it was you?
