Shannon Matthews: Sir Norman Bettison’s Wikipedia Update
SHANNON Matthews is safe. The man suspected of taking her in a suspected abduction is being quizzed. And over the newswires:
Meanwhile, West Yorkshire chief constable Sir Norman Bettison highlighted the work of detectives Paul Kettlewell and Nick Townsend as he defended the professionalism of his force. Sir Norman said his officers have interviewed 6,000 people and searched 3,000 houses over the past three weeks and said he was amazed to have to defend his force publicly against criticism over its speed in recovering her.

Someone must know a joke about a one legged prostitute?
Well not so much a joke about a one legged prostitute but a true life experience in Bangkok.
Somehow, on the first night of my holiday, after a alcoholic drug binge, I ended up with a prostitute with one eye, the other being glass.
To cut a long story short……….
For an extra 100 baht she bought me off using the eye socket!!! It was great but I’ll never forget her parting remark….”You here for 2 weeks, huh, I’ll keep an eye out for you”.
I love Bangkok.

Something about the Express issue prompted a little question for me.
Just totally hypothetical, of course.
How can one entity go about making a tax deductable payment/donation to another entity which isn’t a charity?
What if a “payment” for something, say a movie/book/ interview was deemed to be problematic (PR suicide or whatever), so other methods of completing payment were sought?
Just a few random thoughts, really. No definite ideas on anything in particular. I have no idea how UK tax law works, but there would be some interesting issues raised where I come from.

Every time Heather opens her mouth she digs a hole and one day she will fall right in it.
Nice pay for a little work. There must be a lot of interest paid on Paul’s fortune, especially during the last 4 years. He says he has only got 400 hundred million, and they didn’t live together before getting married. Hope she goes overseas to live!!

and if they want to sue me for libel, bring it on.

46 well said.
and that’s without the CSA poking their law-breaking, insidious rule breaking, malfeasant, nasty, child impoverishing, uncaring ‘i am above the law’ nose in.

the truth aint a ‘bias’.
if Paul M. had been an average man he probably would be reeling financially with Heather in his house and him in a bedsit (a room in a shared house with a shared ‘bathroom’) Her domestic violence charges against him would have muddied the water enough for a judge allow her to stop him seeing his daughter Bea at all, or at best, for two hours every fortnight (two weeks) at a ‘contact centre’ under supervision.
sorry, that’s the facts.
now, how is that related to shannon, scarlett and madeleine? well, it is another example of the UK treats children badly.

You seem to have serious personal issues which you continue to shove down our throats here either under the topic of missing or murdered children or, now, the McCartneys.
Please try to debate a subject without your obvious and blatant biases.

I dont understand the injunctions, how come the royal family dont have permanentinjunctions! Surely they cant last forever. they must be spending an absolute fortune out of the fund for all this legal business!
Woosh clunk>>>>>>>
March 17th, 2008 at 10:47 pm
WTF
Hope they do start digging seriously, maybe now that they re threatening to sue the papers ! But what are the 13 injunctions they took out against kiss & tell stories ? How does that work, surely sooner or later the injunctions will fall away.

wtf
we may be told about contents of case, not sure. but they will be under the shadows for a long time, and will probably never lead a normal life. Thanks re new house, but bif change for us were in Oz 15 months ago, its not just a case of grass being greener, we have to go, now maybe should have gone 10 years ago. Not fond of change, but Sydney reminds me of Cape Town where I went to school, CT now a lot dirtier and more dangerous though.

Beginning to despair about interviews myself, unless all is being kept hush hush and PJ are in Uk, believe ‘files’ will be opened on 11th April and evidence will be shown to the Arguidos and their lawyers. If not enough evidence they will be filed away, but arguido status could remain for 20 years or till new evidence emerges. Might not have facts right though.
