Madeleine McCann suspect Robert Murat, 34, last night spoke of his joy that he looks likely to be officially cleared in days.

No mention of the Mirror’s super sleuth Lori Campbell who fingered “weird” Murat.

His lawyer Francisco Pagarete said: “The police received an order from the public prosecutor to give everything back to Robert. All his items have been returned. We believe it is another step towards his clearance as a suspect. It’s a good sign.
“But we will have to wait and see. There is nothing official saying his status as an arguido is being revoked.”
Even if yesterday the Sunday People had “CLEARED” him.
No word from the The Mail’s Neil Sears, who told us: “There was something more to the friendly expat who called himself ‘Rob’ than met the eye.” Murat made Sears “feel slightly uncomfortable”.

Yes I see what you are saying about targeting by these people. All that I was trying to highlight was it would have been disproportionate risk when there were other methods to access a specific phenotype.

IMO the reason Madeleine was chosen was because she was who the abductor wanted.
Child Abusers (avoiding the P word) will take a fancy to a particular child, not just any child. he could be dormant for years and then a particular child who fits his own fantasy appears and that is it. IMO he saw Madeleine around the pool, on the tennis court, at the beach, somewhere.
Your average man doesn’t just want any woman… he takes a fancy to a particular woman and persues her, same as a woman will a man. Same with Child Abusers.
realistically none of us know do we? and also realistically if the PJ had all the evidence they are quoted as having the McCanns and Co would have been behind bars long ago. It’s all cobblers!
