Madeleine McCann suspect Robert Murat, 34, last night spoke of his joy that he looks likely to be officially cleared in days.

No mention of the Mirror’s super sleuth Lori Campbell who fingered “weird” Murat.

His lawyer Francisco Pagarete said: “The police received an order from the public prosecutor to give everything back to Robert. All his items have been returned. We believe it is another step towards his clearance as a suspect. It’s a good sign.

No word from the The Mail’s Neil Sears, who told us: “There was something more to the friendly expat who called himself ‘Rob’ than met the eye.” Murat made Sears “feel slightly uncomfortable”.

I have maintained from the outset that I feel the McCanns are innocent of anything to do with the disappearance of their own daughter.
But they did have something to do with the disappearance of their daughter….they left her alone…but for their actions she would still be with them and we would never have heard of her….

Surely this is a vital witness! A minor entry in a blog, missed by most, was it supported with a formal appeal from the police for this woman to come forward I wonder?

This is so bizarre - it’s like some of you think you own the case of Madeleine McCann. All you do all day is go round and round with the same nasty comments about her family.

Do these parents not read papers or watch the news??? In the area this poor lad has gone missing from there have been 2 attempted abductions in the last couple of weeks! Its relaxed parenting (and I use the term parenting loosely!)

i agree that the pinchy-faced one’s blogs are interesting material
i posted recently the paragraph which could be a confession rather than an appeal to the imaginary “abductor”:
“Sometimes people do things for reasons that even they cannot understand. An act of madness, an accident or sudden impulse can lead to consequences that people may never have imagined or intended. Faced with such a situation we believe any human soul will ultimately suffer torment and feelings of guilt and fear.”
in court, both of them are very vulnerable from their own words and a clever lawyer/psychologist/psychiatrist would nail the bastards very quickly.

A mistake? He seems prone to them, but it does seem a little hard to accept that he would make such a vital mistake. Mid you, the little mistakes in child care…..
So please dont challenge perfectly supportable statements and make us waste our time correcting you.
