“The need to question Madeleine’s parents again will be determined by the results of the interrogations of their holiday friends.”

I was only making a point, not a fuss. If it really bothered me I wouldn’t visit the site. I skip many of Ian’s posts anyway, as I’m sure he does mine! I went back over them today because I was surprised you felt that he criticised the McCanns “solely” for leaving their children alone.
That’s all! Doesn’t much matter otherwise.

262 BJ - Just one of many stories being chucked about regarding cuddlecat.
I was under the impression that someone on this forum had put a lot of research into this and found that Madeleine never owned the toy. For a favourite “toy” it’s noticeably absent in the few photos we’ve seen.
The fragrant duo could have nailed this rumour on the head by just showing us one photo of Madeleine with Cuddlecat, but they didn’t, wonder why?…

Surprised to see cuddlecat conjecture making a re-appearance after all this time.
Regarding taking Maedeline’s favourite toy to work so it could gain some cadaver scent, was it not conclusively shown before that Cuddlecat was actually a present for Madeleine’s fourth birthday, which fell a few days after she disappeared?
Therefore Madeleine never had Cuddlecat, so it couldn’t have been her favourite toy, the stories are all bollox!
Cuddlecat is just a prop, probably suggested by the PR folk because it was handy and enhanced Katiepoo’s appparent grief/devastation.

I don’t think so.
He has frequently said that he thinks something happened to Madeleine the day before, for example.
He also says repeatedly that Kate started an abduction charade instead of going next door to see if the child was with JT. (See post 38 today for just one example of dozens.)
I agree that he hasn’t said they DELIBERATELY killed her but he certainly subscribes to the view that they know what happened to her, may well be directly involved, set up the worldwide hoax to make money and intend to continue with this particular crime (obtaining money under false pretences). See post 190 today for just one of scores of examples.
He also believes they make up their religious faith simply to gain more support.. See post 199 today.
He certainly says, daily, that he cannot see how an abduction took place and he challenges others to say how it could have happened. It was Ian who produced a timeline which appears to make abduction by stranger an impossibility. He did this very skillfully. I don’t know if he still stands by this but I thought he did? If an abduction is impossible, then the McCanns must surely have more to do with the disappearance than having left Madeleine in a vulnerable position.
I don’t think it’s quite true that he condemnes them “solely” for leaving the children although he has certainly said that even if they are proved to have had no involvement beyond that in Madeleine’s disappearance, they would still be guilty.
But you are certainly right that Ian’s main focus is on the child neglect issue, so much so that he finds it quite in order to call me a supporter of child neglect because I think the case against the McCanns’ direct involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance may not yet be certain!! I know you’ve pointed out to him in the past that saying this is not acceptable or fair. (However, he’s still allowed to say it!!)
It just sounded bizarre that he would be “100% behind them” if they told others publicly not to the same thing as they did. I suppose he meant he would be 100% behind them in saying that particular thing but not for anything else?! It was the “tide turning” reference that was so odd.

Do you know we have had 250,000 posts, in the MM threads, I do have a good memory, but cannot remember every single battle and bitch that goes on here.
We do our best to stop the fights, but we are not nannies and you are not children, and if we interrupt too often it stops the flow.
There has been enough disruption this week from several posters, and libel is our first responsibility, perhaps pleasantness could be down to the individual poster and not the moderators.
We do put notices up, but they get ignored, but I shall tell Ian to be nicer to you, if he isn’t then just tell him to shut up

I’m just watching some live pictures on SkyNews UK about a small plane crashing on some houses in an area called Beaconhill?? (Kent). Several houses on fire.

Just found it;
A Cessna light aircraft reported to be carrying up to five people has crashed in a residential area in Kent.
The private aircraft collided with homes in Broadwater Gardens, Farnborough, the Metropolitan Police said.
A police spokesman said they were called just before 2.40pm.
Police, fire and ambulance crews are at the scene.
It is not yet clear how many people have been injured.
Rachel Bancroft lives just around the corner from the crash site and said smoke can be seen from blocks away.
She said: “There are about three helicopters flying around - it’s just crazy.
“I was just walking my kids just a little while before that, so it’s really sort of freaked me out.”
