“The need to question Madeleine’s parents again will be determined by the results of the interrogations of their holiday friends.”

The statement of the OC? Ah, I was out yesterday, so I haven’t catched up todays posts and only part of yesterdays. You linked to it yesterday, isn’t it? Was it stated by a poster or was it a quote of the new book? I can’t remember.
IF it’s true, I can’t imagine how both parents could go to dinner and act as if nothing happened. As I can’t imagine a lot of what’s been speculated.

Of course you can assume it, yet we can’t be sure, isn’t it?
As we can’t be sure about a lot what happened and about what is going to happen either.
Why are these papers just printing what the Portuguese papers printed. Why didn’t they call Clarrie and ask about the interviews? Who, when, why?
Of course Clarrie knows, but he could have told them “no comment” or even “It’s part of the investigation, so it’s secret” so they could have printed that.
It looks as if there’s still way too much speculation going on, without checking the facts imo.

earlier than posters think. Only posted for the first time today, it”s like we are all playing the waiting game and trying to second guess the evidence the PJ have. If the
post I found saying the OC statement is the most damning to the McCanns,if true thatI is, they must be worried. IMO
be sweating now.

The McCanns are not legally supposed to dictate how the money is spent, yet I read
somewhere that Gerry and CM had decided to use Metodo 3 two months before they
asked the directors to cough up the £50,000 a month. Who do you think paid for this trip to the U.S., Kate is not working and not sure if Gerry is back at work full time. I
can”t understand why someone who donated a fair amount of money has not questioned the way it is being spent before now. I know I would, and would publicise
my concern.

A Private Company has to submit accounts to Companies House, which can then be accessed. The problem is that these accounts are a fairly simplified set of figures.

No Stone Unturned is a Private Company and as such is not liable to disclose any info, but have said they will produce Accounts to January 2009. Remember Allied Irish
Banks some time ago refused to hand over Euros 24,000 collected at their branches
because they thought it was supposed to be a Charity, but apparently, you can”t have a
charity for one person. Don”t know about that, but I bet they are using the money for
themselves now, all the Directors are Family or Friends.
To my mind, the McCanns have lost the plot now, they are acting as Celebrities and I
wonder what else they can do to find Madeleine.
