The detectives are particularly keen to see Dr David Payne, Jane Tanner and her partner Dr Russell O’Brien. Doctors Gerry and Kate, both 39, are not expected to face more questioning.

A source told Portuguese paper 24 Horas, said: “We are at a crucial phase. There are clear contradictions in the statements that the McCanns and their friends gave. Many things have to be clarified.
“The need to question Madeleine’s parents again will be determined by the results of the interrogations of their holiday friends.”

I actually have a “moment of fame” in that I overtook her during the 2005 Marathon !! I jogged alongside her for a while, having a chat, round about mile 22 but she was obviously making heavy weather of it so I zoomed off ….well….trotted a bit faster than her anyway !!

I’ve just checked and I actually beat her by about 20 minutes, I did it in 6hrs 14mins and 50 seconds and she did 6hrs 35mins and 22 seconds so not a great difference …but I DID beat her !!

Thanks for the link, I definitely did not see that !! I don’t think there will be a bowl big enough for Lorraine to put all the words in that she will have to eat !! I do wonder, however, if she is changing her mind at all since then as she surely must be looking at some points with different eyes now, that is unless she is like some out there who are so pro McCann that they cannot see, or rather - refuse to see what is in front of them.

Morning all.
I can’t see any way that the PJ will interview anyone who WASN’T THERE that night. Everything else from anyone else is hearsay and not admissable anyway.
Philomena…. ‘well kate said on the phone that he said that she said……..’ Nope! Only those present. Also the brit police will be doing the interviewing, the PJ will only be there as observers. In fact they needn’t even be there at all which is why I really can’t understand all the delays.
What’s happened to all the latest technology? why not use conferencing? Bizarre way to go about things. Back to the sixties almost.

Philadelphia Dream just told us everything from what they said to the times that they said it and she is so articulate and forceful that she was obviously being honest. She was permanently furious and vociferous.
She even told us about KMc texting whilst being questioned and the sentence that KMc was allegedly offered that day.
If she doesn’t back-track on what she heard at the time she heard it - the police will have a breeze of a job with her …. then straight onto the next ……
What have they done with this poor woman. Why was a certain person sat with Philadelphia at her home at the late hour that GMc was screaming down the phone? W

Correio Da Manha quoted alleged sources close to the investigation.
It said of the police case against the McCanns: “Firstly, sniffer dogs detected a scent of death in the bedroom, in the boot of the car and on Kate’s clothes.
“Then traces of blood indicate the presence of the little girl’s body behind a sofa and in the trunk of the car.”
