In the Sun, we learn that some octupuses strangle their male rivals. And “smaller male octopuses in Indonesia also pretend to be females, putting on ‘girlish airs’.”

In Cannes too, we often see male octopuses strutting about on the beach with girlish airs. But when cooked, they are as tough as the other males.

There was a smaller male octogenarian in Islington who was similarly inclined.
Cilla Black was said to be very fond.
