KATE and Gerry McCann may risk arrest by returning to Portugal for the one-year anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.

Almost as troublesome was the story’s unforeseen and unintended resemblance to a real-life case of child kidnapping that hit the headlines in the months it was being filmed. That was the disappearance in Portugal last year of British girl Madeleine McCann, who was of a similar age and appearance to the film’s kidnapping victim and had a name eerily similar to the character in the Lehane novel, Amanda McCready.
McCready has disappeared amid the squalor of her south Boston neighbourhood. The police are out in formation, as are the television news vans, antennas raised high, all but trembling for blood.

So if the DE printing that the mcc’s are totally innocent or any involvement in Madeleine’s disapearance, is not propaganda, then it must be the truth

I don’t know about other posters…but a lot of people I know have absorbed the propaganda that the PJ are incompetent, some terrible predator forced the shutters, the McCanns are victims.
If you suggest otherwise they look at you as if you’re mad…or very, very unkind.

Why in the world will none of these people give a simple answer to a simple question?
WHY don’t we know the reason Esther McVey suddenly abandoned ship?
WHY don’t we know whether Branson does/doesn’t still support the McCanns?
WHY have the Tapas7 skulked like criminals for almost a year? Why couldn’t they have stood up and supported their friends…and tried to justify the leaving-kids-alone by making the “frequent checks” sound believable?

I just feel a bit apprehensive about the McCanns going on these Celebrity trips when
their arguido status is still in the balance. Would they be making such plans for the future, or CM risking egg on his face if they didn”t know the outcome? I sincerely hope

You forget, the McCanns have tried to obstruct and confuse many times. I’d not take them seriously - they are the accused, effectively. The PJ do not have to prove them innocent.
All those false sightings, employing a suspect agency which has drugs peddling ex cops running the ‘investigation’ - no, I’d ignore them too. The PJ dont have to toady to McCann law (not like the uK press seem to have to do).

Conspiracy theory ? Pity the PJ are not in on it (from UK government perspective) if so? I agree it is naive to believe that ‘our Government would NEVER interfere with judicial process!’ If true , it may leave the other children in the family at risk. I look forward to more information becoming public, particularly the value of the forensic evidence.
