KATE and Gerry McCann may risk arrest by returning to Portugal for the one-year anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.
The couple are prepared to take the chance in a last ditch attempt to revive interest in four-year-old Maddie, missing since May 3.

The doctors, both 39, left the Praia da Luz resort last September – 48 hours after being made official suspects over the mystery.

Says the McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “They want to be there for the first anniversary. Going out there would send the strongest possible message that Madeleine could still be alive and the search for her should continue.”

Almost as troublesome was the story’s unforeseen and unintended resemblance to a real-life case of child kidnapping that hit the headlines in the months it was being filmed. That was the disappearance in Portugal last year of British girl Madeleine McCann, who was of a similar age and appearance to the film’s kidnapping victim and had a name eerily similar to the character in the Lehane novel, Amanda McCready.
McCready has disappeared amid the squalor of her south Boston neighbourhood. The police are out in formation, as are the television news vans, antennas raised high, all but trembling for blood.

- If you quote me, could you be accurate enough not omit the first past of the sentence, so as not to make me say exactly the opposite to what I said? Maybe just you misunderstanding me, but I don’t like the result.
- If, in your mind’s eye, you have an idea of me with a rope around my neck, could you not put it on the internet? I don’t feel comfortable with it, even if it is only an image which you formed of me, and which you picked to describe me.

Not everybody has good eyesight. It is perfectly possible that these people really thought they saw Madeliene. My point is that I don’t believe all these sightings are “set ups” by the McCanns/M3 or whomever.

Daisy - agreed, that is why i don’t beleive any of the tapas 7 do know anything about madeleine’s disapearance.
I do think, however, that JT saw something that perhaps she couldn’t beleive and so adjusted her origional story slightly, but is now thinking that what she origionally saw may more relevent and will therefore tell the pj.

Nosey, she was suffering from being boerd to death by Jolie and her Zeitgeist theories and other crap, any way after mrs b was blasted to kingdom come so was copy and paste Jolie, by M& A, for being a raving ranting bore with a one track mind.
We are selling our Game Farm, well off the beaten track very few careless couples with tiny kids come here, mainly real men with an interest in game viewing and some hunting.

My biggest problem with this whole case is that I find it so terribly difficult to believe that, if this case is all a scam/charade, it could have been kept going for so long. That none of the T7 have broken ranks, considering that it was not their child that died and supposedly most of them were not the perpetrators, is beyond belief.
I just can’t think that not one of them wants to save their own behind and speak out, if they know something about the childs disapperance. All very, very strange!

4000 pages and the judge /prosecutor/magistrate told them to go and find real evidence, as what they had produced was not going to get any warrants issued.
If anyone needs to get real it is you jo, everyone wants justice, you just want along with some others, the McCanns convicted, irrespective of justice.

Yes the stupid PJ , immagine the Portugese Ministers etc. allowing them to spend millions of eoros , wasting months of precious police time, just to get another extension, there are some real juvenile posters on here they still belive the stories in Mother Goose, read them while they sit on the fence, best quote of the day yesterday, Stevos :Snakes on a Plane’ , when the PJ haul them off to Lisbon.

mrs bounty has to get her own pc, ‘handle’ and ip address to post here ibelieve, she got a real rollocking from i think Carmen ? for posting, i asked her to read while Iwas in Zim, some time ago. I doubt she will go to the trouble though she is very busy at present. I have met Bob and to say the least i was totally underwhelmed, you know many hundreds of years he was educated in RSA , at our university of Fort Hare and went to a Rc school.

Sightings ….
To be fair to these people who have reported seen Madeleine, I can say that I am very bad at recognizing faces unless I have interacted with the individual in more than one occasion. I have many times waved at someone across the street thinking it was someone I knew, only to realize a few seconds later that I should dig a hole and hide, because it wasn’t the person I thought it was.
I think these reported sightings are real, in the sense that these people really believed it was the child. They were probably just mistaken. I don’t think it is a case of “paid” sightings or anything of that nature.

I don’t get why they would keep it up, you know when you are drowning how you eventually just give up and float instead of waving your arms and frantically kicking your legs.
Why does the spin have to continue, surely even spinning tops have a sell by date.
Once again I have always mantained that in these end times we would see ultimately manipulations and yet absolute seemingly impossible truimphs.
Last week alone the firebrand cleric in Baghdad got full on fighting to stop within a short time frame.
Fear not, as Beachy always says “Now is not the time to lose courage”.
On a final note if I was any of the Tapas 7, I think my body would be under the most incredible stress right now. Stressed to the bones.

I suspect that there is some damning evidence of abandonment on other nights. This will not end with the McCanns escaping scot free, it cannot. In my view the PJ know all about their escapades. At the minimum they are exposed to abandonment charges, as their lawyers know full well.
Why else are they advised not to return to Portugal?

the British Press throughout all this have been sensationalist and not one Reporter has
actually “investigated”.
I don”t think the PJ have spent all this time and money for nothing, all the time being
hampered by the PR Machine. Who the hell are they to insist on the PJ interviewing
witnesses of their choice when still no one has been charged.!!!!!!!!!
