Madeleine McCann: Anjos Calls Mitchell A Liar And Madeleine One Year On: Campaign For Change
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN: “Cop: McCanns’ spokesman ‘lies’”
Carlos Anjos, president of Portugal’s Police Federation, says of Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “He lies with as many teeth as he has in his mouth.”
The accused the former BBC man of leaking police statements Kate and Gerry made within hours of Maddie disappearing last May. These were aired on Spanish TV last week. Anjos said the aim was to give the McCanns an excuse not to attend a reconstruction.
Says Mr Mitchell: “It is categorically untrue that I leaked them. There was absolutely no benefit for us to do that.”
THE TIMES: Andrew Billen on TV:
“It was going to be called Madeleine McCann, but now ITV1’s exclusive, has a longer name: Madeleine, One Year On: Campaign for Change. The programme will follow her parents as they campaign for an American-style Amber Alert system, in which law enforcement agencies are empowered to commandeer airtime when a child goes missing. Ah, lack of television coverage. That must have been the problem.”
Indeed.

Its very important actually. I believe it was the McCanns and Clarence via M3. I hope that Nachos is called to account for it, he chose when to releas it after all, did he not? He is a McCann supporter is he not?
Why is it so hard for everyone to make the connection?! Carlos Nachos chose the time - CARLOS NACHOS CHOSE THE TIME!
__________
But they do !
They just don’t tell ,because it doesn’t suits them

Clarrie isn’t lying for his country, he is lying for his clients, who are not genuine representatives of British fairplay!!!
————————————
Well, I’m with you all the way on his clients, but I do wonder whether Clarrie sees himself as a liar.
There are people who can convince themselves that if they say something it must be true; Tony Blair is a prime example.
Or they use the greater good argument; ‘I know these people are innocent so it’s right to bend the truth a little to protect these innocent people’.
There is a rich variety in the pathology of lying, and we are certainly getting the opportunity to study it…

I haven’t a clue.
There have been a number of references to opening the police files in April, but I think Clarrie accepted that the chances of this were around zero…

Let Mickey V stay in Manchester with Minnie and family. Nobody will miss those drips in Portugal or elsewhere. (Hope they will not come in France instead. I should think not, they must dislike us also).
Portugal will survive without Mickey V from Manchester. .

I don’t think that Clarrie has yet managed to grasp that he’s not a diplomat.
And the fact that Karen Matthews has been charged with child neglect and perverting the course of justice does put a new spin on things…

Just catching up now.
Hmm… FBI people are quite impressive.
I wonder why, in the American thrillers I read, the State Police investigators see them arriving as a real calamity. Funny how they are always represented (by the American authors) as dumb, arrogant, and unsubtle. Do you think, perhaps, because of the heavy artillery, the body armours, automatic weapons etc… They usually manage to kill a few baddies along with a lot of passer-bys, who are neither goodies or baddies, and will be counted as casualties, once they have cleaned the place.
Methinks Clarrie should be careful before he calls them to the rescue. Suppose they don’t like him. OMG!
