Anorak, you mean there are Londoners in London, only problem is they are a diminishing breed, my relatives in London tell me Mad Ken is destroying the commerce of the city bit by bit, from what I have seen between living there and visiting, I tend to agree.

I agree Boris is very likeable but not the most diplomatic person and I am not sure he could handle the pressure. Ken has had his share of sleaze, but I don"t know whether
his tenure has benefitted London or not, since I do not live in London. Only the
people living in London will know and hopefully it will not be personalities who win the
day, but someone genuinely working for the good of the City.

Much as I am loathe to say it, if you want a genuine Londoner, you have to vote to Ken...

I think that the contest is all about personality and has little to do with politics. To that end I think that Boris for lovable baffon will win over the voters.

Livingston comes over like some horrible Batman villian, so will loose out.

Also I think that from a PR point of view Boris has played this to the tee. He has played upon his likability and business connections. Labour have attacked him as a fool (he is not) and therefore played to his strength. i.e. the public like him and don't want him to be attacked by that nasty man from Labour.

Ken - try laying out your management credentials (without attacking Boris) then move the debate to what you would do for the 2012, and any impending crisis - terrorism, traffic chaos during the games, wealthy city non doms leaving in droves.

The thought of Boris coping in the "eye of a storm", would leave most people cold and make them take off their rose tinted spectacles!

Short note on the lib dems - What his name again? Not a bright move attacking Ken's love of the bottle. Two words - Charles Kennedy?
