I’ve always been uneasy about the media carnival, but figured if that’s what got her parents through the night, what business was it of mine.
However, one year on, there’s something distasteful about the continuing round of claim and counter-claim, blame and counter-blame.
Gerry and Kate McCann should be left alone with their demons, with our sympathy, and not live out their guilt in public any longer. The police and the private detectives should be left to get on with their job.
The Tapas Seven, the McCanns’ PR man, the professional ghouls should all keep their theories to themselves.
And their opinions?

Tapas Seven? And why speak now?
Rachael Oldfield, a 36-year-old recruitment consultant, said: “I was there on the night. I spent time with Gerry and Kate during the week before May 3 and after.
What happened?
“Their emotions and their reactions were just agonising. There’s just no way they were involved in anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.
“If you take the common sense approach and look at timings and the fact they are medics and there are four other medics in the group, they would know what to do to resuscitate a child.
Common sense? Doctors. Such are the facts.
“Anyone with an ounce of common sense would be able to see they couldn’t have done it. And I was there and I know they didn’t do it.”

Says Gerry McCann: “I think it’s safe to say we’re getting very little information. We haven’t had any communication in terms of what’s been done in the investigation.”
“We would like to know what is being done to find Madeleine. We’ve always said we want to leave no stone unturned and to do that we need to know which stones have already been overturned.”

IS it just me or are the McCanns getting on your nerves too?

Now, in a new TV documentary, Kate says that she wanted a baby monitor but the resort didn’t have one. So instead she, Gerry and the Tapas Seven made the bizarre decision to eat out every night and leave three young children home alone. I’m sorry, in any language that’s child neglect.

And, by the way, I’m not being heartless, just honest.

Mr McCann tells BBC Radio 4 interviewer Steve Kingstone: “We would like to know what is being done to find Madeleine. We’d like know who has been eliminated from the inquiry and on what grounds and what leads are still being followed.”

And now she is safe, and well. Not quite treated like a Princess, but alive.

When a family or somebody of a family is involved in the disappearence of one of its members, a wife, a child, etc., he/they always distroy or try to distroy every clue that could help the police, before they raise alarm’
They take the time or they take as much time they can to clean everything around. In very most cases, the police are confronted with clean sorroundings and the stories are already made up by the family.
If this would have happened in England, problaby the McCanns would have acheaved the same results, at the beginning.
Maddie would have disappeared the same way and the British police would have depended on the McCann’s and on their friends’ interrogations.
They would have had the same difficulties the PJ were having.
The British police would probably have done exactly the same the PJ are doing. Very many times such cases without corpses are solved through confessions.

There are subtle differences in the child’s hair also. One has wispy hair, the other slightly thicker. The position of the eyes are different, and her mouth. Why are there no photos of the other children. These people think they can fool some people some of the time, but not all the time. The PJ must have an interesting file.

The Tapas nine and clarence the clown are in a class of their own.
IMO, the only thing that really separates the classes is cash. When you work it out, working class people really have more class, they are the ones who really care, who stand by each other, the really honest ones, the ones who are there for others in their hour of need, the ones who assist in charitabale events with no ulterior motive such as a cheap advert or publicity stunt. Who needs posh cloths and a false appearance to be classed as superior anyway?

I had similar experiences with people,trying to bring pon the subject but being looked at if I was a looney.
May be people just dont care anymore.I start to believe there is now,a vast general disinterest for the case and/or people are just waiting for a resolution which will rekindle the interest and will die in oblivion again.
F….the mccanns,thats the general opinion in spain.Rather a healthy one, imo

At last -somebody has connected the photos. Well actually that’s not right because Stevo spent many months exploring the photos and coming up with interesting stuff.
The photo with the tennis balls was taken by creche staff not the McCanns. It came out fairly early on but, the last photo had to take 3 weeks to produce. As we are in the digital age, that’s a long time. Madeline in the last photo is much younger - you only have to compare the teeth, that the tennis picture is Madeleine as she really was in that week in May 2007. Growing up, active, long hair, long arms and long legs. The last picture showed a toddler.
I’ve posted endlessly about the differences but nobody seems to be able to see it. Or they’re just looking at different aspects of things.
I reckon, the last photo of M is the one with the tennis balls.

Why many British people are so angry about this is that Clarence suggested it was indeed the “British way” to stick your kids into creches all day, and then abandon them all night while you had your grown-up time.
That is so not true.
Not for the lower classes, upper classes or even the middle classes.

I don’t know if anybody else actually has started court proceedings about any other docs but some time ago I learned that there were complaints.
I was at dinner with 11 other people last night. We all went to similar schools, Universities and all lead similar life-styles. Each and everyone of them last night was telling me politely to shut the f*ck up about the Clan!
They were treating me like some feeble-minded dowager Aunt. They absolutely will not have the Clan slated.
Why? Why are most middle-class half-wits missing something rearding the Clan???
Every one of my friends and acquaintances are determined that I am well off the mark.
After 6 atttempts at bringing the topic up I just gave up!

Looks like your wrong, your depriving yourself for the sake of your child. Be firmer, try “go to bed and dont get up, mummy is going out tonight whether you like it or not. If you want to cry, cry quietly not to disturb the neighbours” If she is really badly behaved and making out that she is scared on her on try a double dose of calpole or something. This is the correct way to do it , british doctors reccommend it, so it must be right.

Just looking in before I retire to start a new week at the coal face.
So what have we got:
Daily Mail - Justine McGuiness talking about the sainted ones. BTW - how much would have been paid for that effort.
Radio4 interview - Obvious clangers but nobody is asking questions
Aljeezra(sp) - programme that was filled with omissions.
Various articles too numerous to mention in support of the McCanns
And last but not least, the ITV1 programme being aired on Wednesday.
There’s a name for this - but because of libel laws - I cannot say.
So, I go back to my post last night when GMc said to Mrs Healy - you HAVE to believe it was an abduction. And, apparently so do we.
However, I don’t. Not a lot I can do with that though.

I really think that what bothers me more than anything is the weirdness of the Madeleine photo file.
Nothing quite adds up.
The Christmas video pictures, and the pics showing M going up the plane steps, M in the transfer bus, M in the “last picture” at the pool, show a very small child, scarcely more than a toddler.
Yet other pictures - M with the tennis balls, M in the Everton shirt, etc etc show a child who is at least 4.
Also, no expert in photoshopping would deny that many photos have been tampered with. Why?

I’m not running with the hare and the hounds but some of the superlative comments—’best day ever’ and how beautiful she looks etc–I have a 3 year old and her parting shot is usually something like….’Mr Potato Head ate my Jelly tots’ and when I look down at her angelic little form slumbering, I think-’Thank God for that-I can go downstairs and swear, have a fag in the gard and hold a conversation not punctuated with ‘Mummy can you hold dolly she’s going to be sick……’
Then again I may be disfunctional….any one else got any bedtime lovely moments to share?
