The Casino in Niagara was not good - too many “ladies of the night” - the slots type I hasten to add. I love Niagara - We were there alone on the 2nd Jan 2007 - just us and the mist. then I went back to Atlantic city and wished I had stayed in the mist - lol. I did win $1000 for $5 on the slots - but the poker was not good - closed ranks and I jumped ship to the rest rooms. I like on line poker - I am just about to drift off to play tonight - I shall probably get to bed at around 5 am and convince the “other half” that I am up and running when the alarm goes off at 7.30 am!!

lot’s. i’m 46 going on 47. i’ve worked professionally as a cleaner and privately. i’ve cleaned in supermarkets, professional kitchens and care homes over the years, really, lots. it’s probably the one thing i’m really good at but fail a lot in since i’ve been ill as it’s hard physical work to do properly.

I just dont get it - every report you read is relating to P de L but the McCanns will not be there. The priest has said that he will be reading out “something written by Kate” - some of the family will be there. If the McCanns had the courage of their own convictions, then no power on this earth would prevent them from being in the exact spot where their daughter was 1 year ago. They have something to fear - and it shows absolutely in my opinion by them not being anywhere near the place that their daughter was last seen one year ago.

I apologize.
no, you weren’t wrong apart from the ad hominem, i accept you apology for that but otherwise, if you think differently to me, that’s fine because i really do not know. it is all speculation based on what i’ve read which apparently is not all that reliable.
i really would sincerely prefer to be wrong in this case and that madeline is not dead, except sometimes i ask myself, considering the possible scenarios, whether i would prefer her to be dead than going through that what she could be going through.
ideally you have have to believe in the integrity of people and perhaps in the integrity of doctors in particular and i must admit to being biased on that front. and then there’s always the follow -up thought that having a bias does not automatically make one wrong or judge or see things wrongly. so it’s all a bit circular.

I don’t think that I can, either.
I should very much like to believe that this is a simple tragedy; good and evil, black and white.
I should very much like to believe that Madeleine was abducted by some dastardly villain, and that she will be found alive, obviously not well but capable of recovery.
But I see no possibility of that happening.
I don’t think that the McCanns care in the slightest about anything other than themselves.
I really wish I could think otherwise…
