Madeleine McCann: Josef Fritzl, Tabloid Bingo And Watching Kate McCann
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MIRROR (front page): “We’ll find Madeleine ourselves”
It is the McCanns’ “EXTRAORDINARY VOW”.
Any news of Metodo 3, the sleuths who would find Madeleine by last Christmas?
TWINS IN VOW TO FIND SIS - MISSING MADELEINE McCANN: ONE YEAR ON
The McCanns’ three-year-old twins Sean and Amelie have promised their grieving parents they will rescue their missing big sister.
Well, why not let them have a go?
Says Gerry McCann: “Madeleine is everywhere in our lives.” All our lives.
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “’One year on, we’re no closer to finding Maddy’”
Says Kate McCann: “There has been that much speculation in a lot of the media, particularly the written press. It’s taking away people searching for Madeleine.”
Says Kate McCann, and not Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ media handler.
POLO SHIRTS (a company selling T-shirts): “T-Shirts can be very valuable tools in helping to find missing children. Think about how many people see you each and every day. If you are wearing a T-shirt with the picture of a missing child on it then all of those people are also seeing the child and, hopefully, watching for her everywhere that they go. In the case of Madeleine McCann, the sale of T-Shirts is also helping to raise money for Madeleine’s fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned.”
Let’s hear it for the T-shirts!
GLASGOW DAILY RECORD: “Tragedy Breeds Tourism”
It is a year since Madeleine McCann vanished.
Madeleine McCann and Josef Fritzl? We’ve already had the McCanns and Elisabeth Fritzl. There’s a link? Joan Burnie sees one..
The apartment from which the then three-year-old disappeared has now become a sick tourist attraction, where people take their own kiddies to be photographed where once Madeleine slept.
Next year, can we expect the Austrian Tourist Board to promote tours of the dungeon in which Josef Fritzl incarcerated and abused his daughter?
THE SUN: “Dungeon rescue gives me hope”
Madeleine McCann and Elisabeth Fritzl? A link?
MISSING Madeleine McCann’s mum told yesterday how the astonishing rescue of Austrian dungeon girl Elisabeth Fritzl has given her fresh hope that her daughter is still alive.
Kate, 40, said that hearing how Elisabeth was saved after 24 years imprisonment renewed her belief that little Maddie may also be held captive somewhere.
It’s Tabloid Bingo! Bingo! Bingo!
METRO: “Dungeon fear for Maddy”
THE GUARDIAN: “Fritzl case proves long-term missing can re-emerge, say McCanns”
The couple had taken hope from the case of Elisabeth Fritzl, the Austrian woman whose father locked her in a cellar beneath his house for 24 years, and fathered seven children with her, said Gerry McCann.
DAILY MAIL (front page): “Kate: one year on: A portrait of torment”
Kate McCann is a “GP”.
DAILY TELEGRAPH (front page): “MADELEINE JUST FEELS VERY CLOSE”
Kate McCann:
It’s a sense, really. Madeleine just feels very close. It’s more of a kind of sensation that she’s there. You try to be objective and think, ‘Is that just because I’m her mum and I want to believe it?’ But it hasn’t changed.

I agree and I think that they will be prosecuted in time for child neglect.
What I can’t get my head around is how that makes them liars or murders.

Well said!!!! I cant be arsed with the pros today. they twist everthing to make the doubters into evil people. What kind of cold bastards know that their child was crying, the most obvious reason being that they were scared in a dark strange apartment,k feeling vulnerable and insecure, yet they did it again cos they came first!!! And they still have the brass neck to blame it on a possible intruder!!!!!
———————————————————————————————————–
Gerry also said yesterday that there was no information available to state that it wouldn’t be safe to leave the children there.
This statement and they are his words makes my blood absolutely boil. Think about it. You take your kids on holiday. It’s coming up to bedtime for the children yet there’s this voice in your head saying ‘ I really fancy a pint, I wonder who’s down the tappas bar. I’d really love to go out now but I can’t leave the kids here. Hang on a minute. I’ll have a look through teh information pack to see if it’s safe to leave children alone in the room. Blast. There’s no infomation. oh sod it. A few drinks can’t do any harm’.
How the hell can you blame the fact that there was no information on whether it would be safe to leave children alone or not. Yes, people do parent diffrently but if they are not educated enough or have enough common sense to realise that this is wrong then in my opionion they should either not be allowed to have children and if they do have any they should at the very least go to parenting classes. If they are supposedly well educated, well heeled and people with a position of authority and/or power then in my opinion they should have the bloody book thrown at them and be made an example for ALL future parents so that they can see that it is ABSOLUTELY the wrong thing to do, even consider doing and if you DO do it these WILL be the consequences.

Your article states that the stress of lieing has an effect on body language.
Does the stress of appearing on live TV also have an effect?

some people in life have the likeability factor, as said by simon cowell, it is what helps people make it in the showbiz world and in the media, the mccs do not posess this, they are shady and shifty, add that to the fact that people dont trust them because of leaving their children and not helping the pj

“The provisions of the Fund make it quite clear that money from the Fund can be spent on Madeleine’s family. It’s perfectly legal. ”
But actually the family seems to be the biggest net donator to the fund. We “know” about £ 550000 received from the express plus £ 10000 from ITV, both money which was legally owed the McCanns and handed to the fund. And there will be more to come, from the book deal. Now substract the two mortgage rates…
——————————————————————–
Ferdinand,
How good to see you rallying.
But you are perfectly well aware that we know nothing about what has come out of the fund, and we know nothing about what has gone into the fund.
All we have is what the McCanns’ PR people say.
And if you really think that PR people in general, and Clarrie in particular, can be relied upon to provide a full, frank and honest view then you need to go and lie down again…

what the fuck is a bandwaggon?
i know people are always jumping on them, buit why i have no idea.
********************************************************
Read and enjoy !!
The bandwagon effect also known as social proof or “cromo effect” and closely related to opportunism, is the observation that people often do (or believe) things because many other people do (or believe) the same. The effect is often pejoratively referred to as herding instinct, particularly as applied to adolescents. Without examining the merits of the particular thing, people tend to “follow the crowd”. The bandwagon effect is the reason for the bandwagon fallacy’s success.
In psychology, the bandwagon effect refers to well-documented behavioral patterns among people and has potentially infinite applications. The general rule is that conduct or beliefs spread among people, as fads clearly do, with “the probability of any individual adopting it increasing with the proportion who have already done so.” [1] Thus, as more people come to believe in something, we can expect others to hop on the bandwagon, regardless of whether the underlying evidence is conclusive or not.

Thanks Matt. In the BBC radio 4 interview R.old mentioned being next door or on the other side of the McCann children’s wall or was that the -Madeleine could not have been crying -response to the ‘mummy why did you not come when we were crying- story, But Tanner and O’Brien were also alleged to be next door I think, and the Payne’s in an apartment on a different floor.
136 Chenier - Funny the way the recent media interviewers don’t seem to have asked about McFraudo’s operations and results. Seems as secret as the Portuguese police operations, imo. Must go now, catchup later.

Why would that guy be upset? Do you think the McCanns will not be charged with child neglect?
As to my walking to school question, are you familiar with the normal distribution curve? There are always extremes even in child care decisions, depending on circumstances, knowledge of your children, and yes also selfishness.
