which the McCanns were arguing for an international alert system for missing children, someone was handing out leaflets suggesting that “what they should be doing is campaigning on the theme of ‘Do not leave your children unattended in unlocked apartments whilst you enjoy alcohol-fuelled dinners at a distance where you cannot observe them, as we did”’.

RE forensics wasn’t there some development in the past few weeks supporting the low-count dna thing again, which had been discounted in the Omagh case?
Actually I don’t trust dna, expecially with IVF twins etc - the profiles must be very close.
If there was an accident I think she drowned in the bath or something (ref Rachael and resuss). But could they go on with that lie? I don’t think so.
No, I think she wandered out and was either taken or run over and dumped. Drunk driving tourist. Went home next day, will not confess now and destroy own life. That’s it. No more. Easy to hide. Fractured skull, no blood. Body over the end of the world, poor soul.
They were probably not checking the kids so often, so there may have been up to an hour of M missing. So Europe-wide Amber Alert would be needed. And yes we should do this straight away.
Meanwhile my rental income in Luz this year is f***d. Stupid feckers….
