Bingo! The PJ are probably close to filing the big charges against the McCanns — manslaughter, illegal disposal of a corpse, fraud — so (for now) they’ll ignore this witness tampering business. The McCanns probably have been advised by their lawyers that this phone number is dodgy (to say the least), but this is part of their Hail Mary pass. It seesm like the McCanns know they’re going to be charged and witness-tampering in the form of this advertsied phone number is not what they’re worrying about.
