Oh my God how I would like to wipe the smirk off Gerry McCanns face. That “nasty smell under my nose” face really really infuritates me - Even if they are completely innocent of anything but neglectfully leaving their kids on that night - I personally will never forget the smirk of the McCann face…………………I would like to wipe it off with a baseball bat ( now I am sounding foul)

i think you have to think about how doctors are trained, which to my mind is somewhat horrendous, lots of overtime and little sleep and expectations to perform regardless.
then again perhaps i have watched too much e.r., but i don’t think so, i have worked in a very high stress job and what happens is your adrenaline kicks in and it’s kind of like being a super person where everything is clear and you know exactly what to do and there is absolutely no dithering whatsoever and if you’re in a good practised team it all works like soap, almost automatic.
my scenario may not wash and is or could be totally incorrect, but it’s not impossible, not at all.

Light a bloody candle, shine a torch, who the hell do they think they are. THEY left their kids and although I have every sympathy for Madeleine - I WILL NOT PANDER TO THE WHIMS OF THESE PAIR OF MONEY GRABBING ASSOLES.
If the McCanns want the world to have any sympathy whatsoever for them and their plight they should get back to Portugal and face the music. If my kid had gone missing in Portugal - I would never have left the place -

I would like an explanation as to why my Post 945 is awaiting Moderation.
The only reference made about the McCanns was “they would have a hard job getting them back to Portugal” which in light of all they have said themselves is not
contentious. As a paid up subscriber to Anorak I object to wasting my time posting if
I cannot air an opinion, and to me the remark was harmless in comparison to some of
the posts here.

There is not a bat in hell’s chance of the ‘british authorities’ agreeing that a private individual was entitled to ask what evidence had been given by witnesses to the police investigating a serious crime.
Remember that the British police are involved as much as the Portuguese police.
Madeleine was a British citizen.
And if you really think that our PM would be worrying about the McCanns given his present problems then you really are detaching yourself from reality…

Some supplies could be borrowed from cleaning supplies on site, but I suspect others might need to be purchased.
Remember too that cleaning service was cancelled for the day, or so I believe it has been reported.
perhaps so. i think it would not be difficult to mop up a bit of blood, which is probably ‘all’ it was, and talk about how to proceed. what do you think all this cleaning involved ? perhaps some blood on the floor and some spatters on curtains (perhaps). and two people used to working as a team in tight stressful circumstances. i think it’s very possible. some people are at their best in emergency situations, i know, i’m one, and i think the mccans are too.

No, I don’t know but it is pitiful to hear her talk on the documentary. They should be given the benefit of the doubt. How people can be so cruel without them having been convicted is barbaric. I know most people are concerned about Madeleine and the twins but it is not an excuse - there should be more compassion for all those involved in this terrible tragedy.

Hi, I’m not sure who Aye Right is but I thought Gandolf was who he claims to be and has done for several months. I may be wrong though as when the ‘grooming’ subject was mentioned last week I was confused and thought that only applied to horses.
