Mummy and daddy… Are Mirror readers being asked to empathise with Madeleine? The fact is, it could. It could happen to any of us.

I fill my car up with petrol and sometimes leave the children in the back when I go and pay for it. It could happen to me.
I’ve seen mums chatting to friends in supermarkets and on busy pavements while their children wander off. It could happen to them.
It happened to the McCanns in a child-friendly, family holiday village. It could happen to you.

Just when one thinks one’s capacity for shock is exhausted, one reads some of the charming, expletive-rich comments sent to Kate and Gerry McCann in the last year since their daughter Madeleine evaporated in Portugal. I know some nutters are convinced they killed her, which I am equally convinced is balderdash: but what shocks me is that even those who accept that someone else abducted her cannot resist delving into the still-open wound the McCanns have, and attacking them for their supposed negligence on that evening last May.
I try to envisage the sense of smug satisfaction these people have when the letter is posted or the send button pressed on the email: but, despite a long study of human degeneracy, I simply can’t.

IMO M was also incinerated. If you go on national ~TV and say - “find the body and prove it” you are confidently aware that there is no body to find. Only dust. Which IMO, is the reason they think they can get away with it.

Don”t you just hate these posters who give us unfathomable hints?
Muddler posted that the answer lies in Eire, but won”t say any more. The only other
thing I can think of is Gerry still has Family in Ireland and was visiting them a few
weeks before he went to PDL. Can”t see him taking Madeleine”s body over there though.
I”m convinced Madeleine wasn”t abducted, but cannot envisage the McCanns behaving as they are ,if they are guilty. I just know what to believe any more, the
scenario changes daily, depending on the bits of info we learn.

i think i saw pinky standing withe the appealing pair on the morning of the 3rd 2007, dressed in pink, but since then all the males took to wearing pink, except gerry.

B Kennedy is supposed to have tried to get Murat to say he saw an abductor type on My 3 evening. But Murat wouldn’t go along with it.
It’s a really strange thing.
Why would the multi-millionnaire backer of the McCanns travel to Portugal to try to persuade Murate to say he’d seen things he hadn’t? (Allegedly).
Do you wonder if he paid any other “witnesses” a friendly visit?

I think Clarrie is Tapas 10. There was a tapas 10 - yet unidentified. I’ve always thought it was him IMO. Got there on the morning of the 3rd and went along with the playout of the tapas evening - yet it happened they day before (2nd). One of them said, can’t remember whoit was said - we’ve called in some favours…..
I’d love to get hold of that early footage - bet he’s on there somewhere.

According to CM, it was to nothing, just to offer help to Murat who had been made arguido. I thought it was Brian Kennedy, Kate”s Uncle who was presumably there to
offer support when all the Family went over to PDL and stayed several weeks I seem
to remember. This case gets murkier by the minute, I just hope the PJ make a decision soon, the scenes at PDL today are tacky.

There is an Irish connection that Muddler alludes to, I think it might be the Family
on holiday at the same time as the McCanns. Seemingly the Guy came out of the pub, on 3/5, was walking back to his apartment and saw a man carrying a child wrapped in a
blanket. He asked the Guy if the child was asleep and received no answer, the Guy hurried off. He says it definitely wasn”t Murat because he was well known around
the Area, thinks it might have been Gerry. A statement was taken at the time, it appears Metodo 3 went to Ireland to interview him, and he has since recanted.
Make of it what you will, the only place you might find something is mccann files.

Hi Jo! Have been really really busy - and only occasionally checked to see what was going on. Am completely out of the loop regarding any major developments, but get the distinct impression that the McCanns are no longer regarded as ’squeeky clean’.
Am intrigued to hear that Pinkie was in PdL on 3rd May. But not really surprised. Remember it was international headline news less than 8 hours after the alarm was first raised and well before the local search was over!
