The Top Three American Anti-Immigration Protestors Ever
SAYS the San Francisco Chronicle of an anti-immigration rally in Texas:
“Excellent point: In Houston, a Texan protesting amnesty for illegal immigrants argues that anyone who can’t master English doesn’t deserve to live in America.”
It might be ironic, sorry, colonic?
Stem the tide of US ignorants.
There are more - read on for them…

Texas is a lot like Scotland. They always talk about leaving the union and how much better off they’ll be but never do anything about it.

As an Englishman living in Florida I can assure you that its English that is the foreign language around where I live. In addition most of the hispanics are here legally mainly due to family sponsorship. Although in my humble opinion a common language is one of the most important factors unifying and defining a countries culture do any of their fellow Americans really have the right to dictate what language they speak. Its not in the constitution as far as I am aware. Don’t forget that all these English speaking “real” Americans other than the native indians were immigrants once. They just got here sooner. Lest we forget the US is a democracy and the way the demographics are working out they will soon be able to out vote their English speaking counterparts. In any case all second generation hispanic Americans are in general completely and fluently bi-lingual. Perhaps the English speaking contingent should return the complement. Hmm as a British “Se Habla English” perhaps I should take the time to dust off my Spanish dictionary?

“Excellent point: In Houston, a Texan protesting amnesty for illegal immigrants argues that anyone who can’t master English doesn’t deserve to live in America.”……..
That’s a laugh.
Chatting with a rural Texan will give you the impression that they’ll soon be shipping them out by the thousands.
Though I dont know who would take them.

Duncan, at the end of your post there it looks like a reference to a book in the Bible…you know the type that’s on a piece of cardboard that some fool at the front of the crowd holds up to the camera in stadiums/golf games when there’s a big game on?
Next time I’ve got golds for ice hockey and its on TV, watch and look for me cos I’ll be wearing one of those rainbow wigs and waving a sign saying “DUNCANR 5:42″. That’ll give everyone something to really research.

Incidentally, that top photo looks to have been rather amateurishly photoshopped.
Funny though; it deserves to be real.

Ah! you mean like all the ‘reconstruction’ work that has been contracted to US companies since the invasion of Iraq? Good point mate.
These corrupt governemnts and companies need a good kicking, dont you think?

Cheerio from the U.S., and thanks for weighing in on our internal issues involving crooked politicians allowing corrupt governments and companies to profit from illegal activity. The readers of this site might want to do a spot of research into this matter and decide whether they want to be on the same side as the Mexican government and crooked banks, or whether they want to be on the side of the vast majority of U.S. citizens. Well, pip pip.

Talk about reading between the lines. It must be me. I totally missed that reference to Mexican Government and crooked banks, corrupt governments and companies profiting from illegal activity in Anorak post above. Just shows how dumb I am! [duncanr. 05:42]
