VIBea: Princess Beatrice Works In Selfridges
“WHY, oh why, did I wear that one?” asks Princess Beatrice to the Mail’s Richard Kay.
Bea is talking of that bikini, the one she was photographed wearing in the Caribbean.
But she should not be too hard on herself for her choice of garment.
It was the Mail’s Allison Pearson - “Can someone please have a kindly word with her before it all goes pear-shaped?” – and Amanda Platell – “get her body under control” – who told us that it was Bea’s tummy, thighs and arse that were the wrong choice. Rest assured, Bea, the bikini was just dandy.
But young gels will take things to heart and Beatrice has been driven made enough to seek gainful employment.
The Sun says that Beatrice can now be found working in Selfridges as a shop girl. She’s a “personal shopper” for VIP costumers.
But people can be cruel, and Janice Home, 39, from Oxford, tells the paper: “She rushed by with an armful of clothes and headed off towards the Gucci section. I thought, ‘That looks just like Fergie’ – then I realised it was her daughter Princess Beatrice.”
You know, the ginger one in the bikini…

annie1…… I don’t think anyone on here has said anything bad about Beatrice. We all understand and sympathise with her…… the comments are re: the journos reaction to a pic of her in bikini.

Poor kid - you should all be ashamed of yourselves. She was born into that Bloody family - had to have every nose blow recorded and reported upon - and OK it aint Woolworths, but give the kid a chance

I think I might be completely lacking in psychic abilities of any kind.
And ghosts seem not to be predictable; St Bartholomew’s hospital has been on the site for many centuries, thousands of people died extremely unpleasant deaths just outside at Smithfields, and yet the only ghost it has is a 20th century nurse who haunts one of the lifts.

Might be a bit crowded round there, love the Church round the corner. Went round the museum there a couple of years ago, but ran out of time.
Hope the nurse has nothing to do with my family, quite a few trained there as doctors and nurses.

As long as you stick with puppies you should be OK; it’s when people start resembling elephant seals that the real problems start…
But I have never really warmed to Harvey Nics; strange, given my addiction to retail therapy…

I shall be restoring my puppy fat the birthday after next, when I do sweet 16 again, hopefully by the time I am 26 a year later it shall have gone……

I’ve still got my puppy fat topped up by post pregnancy fat and then finished off with a dollop middle-age spread.

I grew out of my puppy fat several decades ago, perhaps we were just tougher stuff?
Perhaps shame and embarressment are the new obesity related diseases? But I suppose the graveyards full of skeletal remains upon internment is the healthy option?
One wonders though the fact that young women are drinking alcohol more and more than ever before, there does seem to be some conflict with health here, or perhaps livers and other glands/organs damages don’t count as much as some flesh on the bones?
But back to Bea, shouldn’t she be at Harvey Nics where her aunt haunted when alive and dead?

Much as I hate to feature as the Voice of Reason, there is a very big difference between attitudes to body shape back when I was a gel, and now.
Admittedly I never actually had any puppy fat, but if I had then no-one would ever have said anything other than that it was puppy fat and I would grow out of it.
Nowadays it would be hailed as conclusive proof that I’d be dead in five years from obesity related disease.
Not all change is for the better…

Gandolf, how can you say that, here’s this poor girl from a broken home who now has teenage puppy fat….she needs therapy and understanding; adipose tissue is a very serious matter and only this present generation have ever endured it.
Your heart and mind should go out to her…..oh bugger it is a load of bollox isn’t it? wait til middleaged spread hits them!!
