Madeleine McCann: Inside The Flat, New Clues And Bad Parents
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
NEWS OF THE WORLD (front page): “MADDIE”
More?
“WORLD EXCLUSIVE: FIRST PICTURES INSIDE FLAT”
“Maddie’s bedroom”; “front door” – the flat from Madeleine McCann supposedly went missing is for hire, and the NOTW has been to look it over.
Has the NOTW turned into a holiday brochure, got into the timeshare game?
Now the rest of the flat has been redecorated and is ready to welcome more holidaying families to Portugal.
Can the flat be rented by the minute, and because of its history does it come with a surcharge? For now, the paper wants to show readers “How fiend could have kept out of sight”.
Our detailed survey of the flat reveals a host of places Maddie’s abductor could have hidden when it’s most likely he was almost caught in the act by dad Gerry as he checked on her and twins, Sean and Amelie, at 9.05pm on May 3 last year…
Details. You have noted the door and the bedroom. Now look at the inside of a “WARDROBE”.
But our on-site reconstruction proves that if the kidnapper was already in the flat, as the McCanns fear, he had a full TEN SECONDS to conceal himself after hearing Gerry open the patio doors and enter the apartment.
Although if Gerry McCann moved slower than the NOTW’s estimated speed of 2.34 mph, the kidnapper might have had ELEVEN seconds, or perhaps even TWELVE seconds to hide.
But where to hide?
And he had no fewer than FOUR boltholes to choose from—behind Madeleine’s BEDROOM DOOR, inside her roomy WARDROBE, in her parents’ nearby BEDROOM or in the family BATHROOM.
What about under the BEDS, behind the CURTAINS, on the CEILING or in the SHOWER? Or in the BED?
If one year on, the News of the World found clues, surely the detectives could have established more AT THE TIME?
Clues. the NOTW has found doors and rooms. In one year of tabloid tales, much has been established.
The stillness and silence of the apartment now is just as it would have been after the McCanns left the children asleep in bed that fateful night.
All that can heard is the gentle click, click click of cameras, the sound of a reporter scrambling for a story and the trace of last night’s prawns in garlic butter…
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Summer sun brings out first Bad Parent story”
“It’s hard to resist a little pain-free moral gloating sometimes, writes Eilis O’Hanlon.”
Like the first cuckoo of spring, the sighting of the first Bad Parent story of the summer is always a heartwarming, life-affirming event; and by a happy coincidence, the latest incarnation of this media phenomenon arrived bang on time, just as the weather started to hot up and our thoughts turned sunwards. At last we can say the holiday season has truly begun.
Normally, of course, it’s some foul-mouthed painted doxy from a sink estate in the north of England who hits the headlines after flying off to be with her Spanish waiter in the sun, leaving behind her gaggle of variously-fathered children in their council flat with only a tin of beans, the keys to the drinks cabinet, and Grand Theft Auto IV on the Playstation to occupy themselves until she gets home — if and when she can be bothered.
The Irish now see the English as the English once saw the Irish, albeit without the beer, bombs and potatoes.
The McCanns. The McGuckins.
The media phenomenon of the Bad Parent story, ritually trotted out to appease the secret guilt of other parents everywhere, is a curious one, no doubt about that. It can’t be much fun to be caught in the middle of the latest outbreak of media moralising, but it’s best just to put it down to experience and move on as quickly as you can.
THE SCOTSMAN: “McCanns ‘won’t mark’ Madeleine’s fifth birthday”
Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said of the birthday: “Gerry will be at work and Kate will be at or around home. Sadly, for them it is just another day without Madeleine.”

Val, we knew about no stone unturned a long time ago, Will used to dangle it as the little piggies theory, so it is nothing new.

I don”t care where the “source” comes from as long as it”s true. Iv”e said a few times
that we don”t have any reliable info and investigative posters, like the McCann Ad
I posted ,and the Fridge .Did any of us know until yesterday where the phrase “No
Stone Unturned” originated? That”s the kind of posting that makes it interestingIMO
So if you know something we don”t, tell us!!!!

Thank-you for the source Gandolf. I see it is quite an old quote.
No, we only request sources for those definite claims, rather than opinions, we judge to be potentially libelous and thus dangerous to Anorak.

val, there are three checks in question: The 9pm one of Gerry, the 10pm of Kate, and the 9.30pm of Oldfield. Which one do you think could be proven not to have occured, and how?

Meanwhile, another witness has said he found porn on Murat’s laptop when he went to see web expert Sergey Malinka, a pal of Murat’s, four years ago. He was told it belonged to Murat, but had been with Malinka to be repaired. His statement contradicts claims by Malinka and Murat - who deny any involvement - that they had not known each other for long before Madeleine vanished.

I know, it has been said, I read it but can”t remember where, that the PJ asked for
a charge a while ago, the Prosecutor wanted 200% assurance a Trial could be won and
the Judge said “Find me the body”, so that”s why a charge can”t be made. All the
existing evidence would be circumstantial, and that is why the PJ want”s a recon,to
prove the McCanns didn”t check very often and are guilty of Neglect, which could
bring a charge.

Val, in case of a crime the power of a judge and of a public prosecuter are above a lawyer.
The suspects have to obey them.
——————————————-
I think the point is that the McCanns can refuse to go back to Portugual; if the Portuguese authorities wish to enforce their return then they would have to do so via our courts.
Part of the McCanns’ difficulty is that our judges are unlikely to wish to embroil themselves in the case further than adjudicating on whether the McCanns can be extradited.
On the whole, judges tend to be in favour of complying with one’s legal obligations…
May 11th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
189 Gandolf
If the PJ issued a Warrant, the McCanns Lawyers would rebut it and it would end up
in an Extradition Order being issued which would take months…if there is no case why not lift the arguido status on the McCanns. The PJ would then be free to concentrate
on the two M”s and not have the PR / McCann Circus to contend with. Don”t you
wonder why Kennedy flew to PDL for a discussion with Murat? I find it quite unethical
and this is again where the U.K. Press seem gagged on reporting anything against the
McCanns. What are you implying with regard to the 2 M”s, kidnapping for sale?
Surely they wouldn”t plan anything right on their doorstep? Why wait for Madeleleine,
there could have been other years , or less well informed Parents to choose from.

I think they are being advised by their Lawyers that they could be charged with
neglect. How can they complain of a possible Media Circus when they and their PR
team have created the biggest ever known.! Maybe they know something we don”t
and I sincerely hope the PJ”s evidence, if not sufficient to bring a charge, will show
the McCanns were not checking the children as often as they say.

Well done, that”s the one…..don”t understand these ” tinyurl” bits. I did give you the right website, but when I tried it myself it didn”t work. Went back to the post I had found it and it worked!!!!
Judging by previous posts you seem to think Murat and Malinka are involved, I”m not
so sure. Maybe they “”aided and abetted” but my gut feeling is that it”s a McCann cover up. I don”t understand the NOTW suggesting Oldfield was in some way to blame, I hope he sues !!!! Between the McCanns, Murat and possibly Oldfield, the U.K.
Press might just learn a lesson on what they report.
May 11th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Val, of course they have to go back to Portugal, for reconstruction.
It is probably the only chance they still have to show their innocence.
If they refuse to…

‘What makesw me think and believe Murrat is innocent is teh fact that 3 of Tapas 7 “recognized” him in July, in Portimão.’
Carmen suggests that it would be easy to have mistakenly identified Murat, since his type of looks are common in Portugal. Alternatively, though unlikely since he was well known in PDL, it could have been him that the Tapas 3 sighted. But the Murat sighting is only relevant since he alleges that it was not him (not because he had no possible reasons for being where he was sighted). And it is always possible that a man might be up to something he doesn’t want his mum to know about. imo it may mean nothing about innocence or guilt.

Stating how easy it would be to have mistakenly identified Murat.
There’s a difference. Perhaps too subtle for Glasgow inhabitants.

I really think they should go back to Portugal if , as they say, they want to find Madeleine. Their reluctance only makes them look guilty IMO.
Also, the world has been saturated with Photos of Madeleine and instead of relying
on the rather forlorn hope that people will try searching, let Metodo 3 lead the search, that”s what they are being paid for isn”t it.?

I”d have no chance would I!!!!!!
Don”t know if you were checking yesterday”s posts, this one was around 6 pm from
a new Poster “ComplexInnit”. We were advised that the name “No stone Unturned”
referred to a Group of World renowned forensic scientists who specialised in
examining corpses etc whose death was many years ago. I responded saying it was an
unfortunate name for the Company since it”s aim was to Find Madeleine and asked if there was a website. He/ She kindly posted back http://www.Necro International which has
been in existence since 1991. Wasn”t is mentioned a while ago that Gerry was
reading a Police book of some kind while on holiday?
May 11th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
167 Val,
If the McCanns believe the same cases in Austria could have happened to Madeleine, why don’t they answer the 40 questions?
They said the same about Mari Luz’s abductor.
Every time a tragedy about a child shows up, the McCanns use it as probably having happened to Madeleine.
I always ask myself what his colleagues at the hospital think of Gerry.
I think he is not very much loved by them.

If he would have taken part on the disappearence, those 3 would have protected him.
Too dangerous to point him.
