Madeleine McCann: Inside The Flat, New Clues And Bad Parents
MADDIE WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
NEWS OF THE WORLD (front page): “MADDIE”
More?
“WORLD EXCLUSIVE: FIRST PICTURES INSIDE FLAT”
“Maddie’s bedroom”; “front door” – the flat from Madeleine McCann supposedly went missing is for hire, and the NOTW has been to look it over.
Has the NOTW turned into a holiday brochure, got into the timeshare game?
Now the rest of the flat has been redecorated and is ready to welcome more holidaying families to Portugal.
Can the flat be rented by the minute, and because of its history does it come with a surcharge? For now, the paper wants to show readers “How fiend could have kept out of sight”.
Our detailed survey of the flat reveals a host of places Maddie’s abductor could have hidden when it’s most likely he was almost caught in the act by dad Gerry as he checked on her and twins, Sean and Amelie, at 9.05pm on May 3 last year…
Details. You have noted the door and the bedroom. Now look at the inside of a “WARDROBE”.
But our on-site reconstruction proves that if the kidnapper was already in the flat, as the McCanns fear, he had a full TEN SECONDS to conceal himself after hearing Gerry open the patio doors and enter the apartment.
Although if Gerry McCann moved slower than the NOTW’s estimated speed of 2.34 mph, the kidnapper might have had ELEVEN seconds, or perhaps even TWELVE seconds to hide.
But where to hide?
And he had no fewer than FOUR boltholes to choose from—behind Madeleine’s BEDROOM DOOR, inside her roomy WARDROBE, in her parents’ nearby BEDROOM or in the family BATHROOM.
What about under the BEDS, behind the CURTAINS, on the CEILING or in the SHOWER? Or in the BED?
If one year on, the News of the World found clues, surely the detectives could have established more AT THE TIME?
Clues. the NOTW has found doors and rooms. In one year of tabloid tales, much has been established.
The stillness and silence of the apartment now is just as it would have been after the McCanns left the children asleep in bed that fateful night.
All that can heard is the gentle click, click click of cameras, the sound of a reporter scrambling for a story and the trace of last night’s prawns in garlic butter…
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Summer sun brings out first Bad Parent story”
“It’s hard to resist a little pain-free moral gloating sometimes, writes Eilis O’Hanlon.”
Like the first cuckoo of spring, the sighting of the first Bad Parent story of the summer is always a heartwarming, life-affirming event; and by a happy coincidence, the latest incarnation of this media phenomenon arrived bang on time, just as the weather started to hot up and our thoughts turned sunwards. At last we can say the holiday season has truly begun.
Normally, of course, it’s some foul-mouthed painted doxy from a sink estate in the north of England who hits the headlines after flying off to be with her Spanish waiter in the sun, leaving behind her gaggle of variously-fathered children in their council flat with only a tin of beans, the keys to the drinks cabinet, and Grand Theft Auto IV on the Playstation to occupy themselves until she gets home — if and when she can be bothered.
The Irish now see the English as the English once saw the Irish, albeit without the beer, bombs and potatoes.
The McCanns. The McGuckins.
The media phenomenon of the Bad Parent story, ritually trotted out to appease the secret guilt of other parents everywhere, is a curious one, no doubt about that. It can’t be much fun to be caught in the middle of the latest outbreak of media moralising, but it’s best just to put it down to experience and move on as quickly as you can.
THE SCOTSMAN: “McCanns ‘won’t mark’ Madeleine’s fifth birthday”
Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said of the birthday: “Gerry will be at work and Kate will be at or around home. Sadly, for them it is just another day without Madeleine.”

You still never commented on my point about the McCanns leaving the children!!!!
—————–
Give us chance…………. one thing at a time.
One thing i did notice was that Kate never said that Madeleine went crying into their room, which, if a child was that petrified, you would expect them to do. If that had been the case then im sure the McCanns would not have left the tots on their own the next night. Contrary to what many would have you believe.

I have just looked at the plan again and you and Gandolf are right, the Bedroom doors
open OUTWARDS, my apologies to you both, also Ferdinand on 255.

The crying was brushed off by Kate as if it was nothing and Madeleleine “just sort of said it and went on to something else” That is Fact not Fiction.

Nobody left the Tappasround. A waiter said only one man left the table. It was probably O’B.
I would worry me now. he was the only one without an alibi and without witnesses outside the group. For a long time. I think ,he gets a big problem.
Too much emphasis on a named person, and assumed at that jj

Had they Maddie killed and hidden, they would favour a window of more than two hours had. The couple is acting on the table, eats and takes part in a quiz, set by the aerobics trainer of the club, Najova Chekaya organized. The McCanns say that every half hour from a round up in order for the children to see. On the table O’Brien and Jane Russell Tanner, Matthew and Rachel Oldfield, David and Fiona Payne and Payne’s mother Dianne Fiona Webster. Alright Val………. you win………I’ll explain.
You will notice something very odd about each door………… they are all hinged and open the same way irrespective whether its into a room or not. In other words, they are there for illustration purposes only to locate where the door actually is. To change the way the door opens requires a little more effort.
The other thingt which should be obvious to most is that doors always open into rooms. Its common build practice……………. of course, airingt cupboards arent really classed as rooms.
Hope this helps.

Why don’t you make a reconstruction in your home? I have. You could easily convince yourself that you can’t see the head of Madeleines bed if you just open the door to look inside the room but don’t enter the room.

You keep slagging off any opinion that doesn”t tie in with your fervent belief that
the McCann”s are whiter than white but never offer a reason why you think that.
Every thought we have is based on speculation and everyone is entitled to an opinion, so why not come up with your take on what happened? Don”t just say “abduction”,
it doesn”t explain why the McCanns chose to go out again the very night Madeleine
told them she had cried the previous night. To me that is unthinkable and if they can be
so insensitive to their children”s needs what else are they capable of?

Before the recent UK troop involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, me and Mrs D used to attend the annual Summer Ball at Raglan Barracks of the 104Rgt Royal Artillery, preceded by 21 gun salute at Cardiff Castle. Was a fantastic weekend. Used to look forward to it every year. I like Cardiff a lot - a very ‘vibrant’ city, with a lot going for it! A lot like Glasgow in many respects.

No chenny a PC is known as a computer or a desk top, a laptop is known as a laptop, easy isn’t it, and it was still the same 4 years previously when Murats laptop was being fixed by Malinka, you know the 4 years previously, when they didn’t know each other. I must admit that I am enjoying your attempts to justify your nonsense, very amusing, perhaps to subtle for a Glaswegian, but there again probably not.

Evidence, Gandolf, evidence.
The anonymous ‘witness’ that Lori Sullivan lifted from the Portuguese press is a proven liar.
That’s why the Portuguese press had to withdraw the allegation.
That’s why Murat is suing, amongst others, the Mirror which published Lori Sullivan’s article.
And you are so desperate that you are relying on a proven liar who doesn’t know that a laptop is a computer as your source.
Whilst you also claim that a laptop isn’t a computer.
Wouldn’t get you very far in Court, Gandolf….

Yes I agree - just interesting thoug, that in the early days, Martin Brunt reported it that way. Just goes to show - we can’t always believe what’s reported as fact.
May 11th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
No Val that plan shows the door opening out away from the room, as denoted by the thin angled line coming from the thick black line across the threshold, also it does not show any wardrobes fitted or otherwise. Which is the opposite of that reported by the Screws, so both can’t be right, there was talk of two apartment 5a’s one rented by MW and another private in the same vicinity, but even that seems strange.

and not as shown on the diagram. Please dont ask me to explain why its not shown like this because although i can………..i cant be arsed.

In at least one case - the false allegation that there were pornographic images on his computer - the Portuguese media later published corrections”
The article I quoted never mentioned a computer, it stated a laptop from 4 years ago, now why would Murat claim not to have “known” Malinka.
What was that about recycled rubbish, the only waste is coming from yourself and your new found fans.

Gandolf, if you don’t know that a laptop is a computer then you are beyond aid.

Well thanks for coming back……….. i thought the computor had locked up. Almost went out the window without touching the window cill.
Anyway the point Val, is that the cleaning of the apartment is a load of tosh. Only the telly tubby fan club would believe that one. I think it originated from some biased jerk making the claim in a book he wrote.
Unfortunately (and sad as it is) there are a lot of claims that many people choose to believe as fact. Only those with a bit of common sense can see through the rubbish.
I think you will find ‘those’ people tend to be those who doubt the McCanns innocence.
